16 Premiership stars up for European Footballer of the Year

Thierry Henry leads a group of 16 Premiership players among the 50 stars nominated for this year's European Footballer of the Year award.
The Arsenal and France striker for the Ballon D'Or, which was won in 2004 by AC Milan's Ukraine ace Andriy Shevchenko.
European champions Liverpool are represented by Steven Gerrard, Luis Garcia and Jamie Carragher.
In contrast, there are seven Chelsea stars on the list, and four Manchester United players, with Newcastle's Michael Owen the other English-based inclusion. His former Real Madrid team-mate David Beckham is also nominated.
The winner will be revealed on Monday 28 November after voting by international football journalists.

i think Carra deserves it he was great played all season with out injures, improved from average to world class and he is very undervalued adn under-rated.

I agree with that, carra is a well underrated player. IMo Stevie didn';t have his bet season last, and Luis is too inconsistent, excellent in Europe but the opposite in the prem. |

i highly doubt any of them would get it, perhpas gerrad has a slight chance but his form has gotten pretty crappy lately

Gerrard has the highest chance of winning it, although I think Carragher deserves it if it was likely that a defender would win, which isn't.
