/11/2002. AS Roma super-striker Vincenzo Montella sent out very strong signals he would like to leave the Italian capital at the end of the season in a chat held with reporters at the Giallorossi's Trigoria traning grounds today.
"Somtimes contracts are worth something, but things can always change in today's football world," said Montella.
"The club was very sly to announce that I had extended my contract immediately after Capello decided to remain at Roma until 2005. In reality I had signed it way before," added the Roma striker.
It is not a coincidence Montella brought out Capello's name in today's press conference.
It appears the precise reason 'the Aeroplane' wants to leave the Roman wolves is because the former AC Milan boss, with whom he has had more than an altrecation, decided to stay put less than two weeks ago.
Montella's afternoon comments will surely please Inter and Real Madrid, the two club's that up till now have shown the greatest interest in clinching the services of the former Sampdoria and Empoli striker for next season.
