Pre-Season (2007/2008)
According to the official site we'll be in Switzerland from 7th July - 13th July 2007 and in Germany from 13th July - 22nd July.
I wonder who we'll give a chance from the youth team to shine before we send them back to the PAF's or out on loan, I want to see the likes of Irfan play and maybe Ugur & Ozgurcan getting a chance to prove themselves to stay on at Galatasaray, same applies for Ferhat. I hope there's some thrashings of amateur teams as they're always fun to watch.

Re: Pre-Season (2007/2008)
Galatasaray announced their football team's summer program yesterday, including training camps in Switzerland and Germany, and friendly matches against Anderlecht, Bochum and Koln.
The squad will assemble in Istanbul on June 27th, and will train at Florya until July 7th when they fly to Switzerland. There, they will have a training camp and compete in the Berne Tournament, which includes Anderlecht, Borussia Dortmund and Young Boys Berne. Galatasaray will play Anderlecht on July 10th, and will play one other match in the mini-tournament.
After the Swiss program, the team will fly directly to Germany for a training camp in Duisberg, where they will play practice matches against FC Koln (new home of Farid Mondragon) and VfL Bochum.
The team will fly back to Istanbul on July 23rd for another few weeks of training at Florya before the start of the 2007-2008 Super Lig season.

Re: Pre-Season (2007/2008)
Galatasaray played their first practice match of the 2007 summer break on Monday, beating Anderlecht 0-1 at the Stade de Suisse in Berne. The only disappointment for fans was the fact that coach Karl-Heinz Feldkamp
denied them a chance to see the club's new summer transfers in action for the first time. Lincoln, Linderoth, Bouzid, Volkan and Baris were all left on the bench for the first match of the OBI Cup. Instead, the winning goal came from a more established Lion: Sabri Sarioglu found the net in the 71st minute (Anderlecht were playing with 10 men after a red card in the 37th). In the mini-tournament's other match, Young Boys Berne beat Borussia Dortmund and will play Galatasaray in the final on July 12.

Having beaten Anderlecht 0-1 at the Stade de Suisse in Berne on Tuesday, Galatasaray went on to defeat YB Berne 3-1 in the OBI Cup final match on Thursday. Galatasaray's goals came from Baris Ozbek, Ozgurcan, and Umit Karan.

Re: Pre-Season (2007/2008)
Having completed their Swiss training camp program, and won the OBI Cup, the Galatasaray team flew directly to Germany for a training camp in Duisberg. While in Germany, they will play practice matches against FC Koln (new home of Farid Mondragon), Fortuna Dusseldorf and VfL Bochum.
July 15: Koln v Galatasaray (16:45, Bonn Sportpark Stadium)
July 18: Fortuna Dusseldorf v Galatasaray (20:00, Dusseldorf Paul Janes Stadium)
July 21: Vfl Bochum v Galatasaray (20:00, Bochum Rewirpower Stadium)
Tickets for these matches are available at the GS Europa office in Dusseldorf (Königsallee 106) or by calling 021130122168. Tickets are also on sale at the local sales offices of the three German clubs.
The team will fly back to Istanbul on July 23rd for another few weeks of training at Florya before the start of the 2007-2008 Super Lig season.

Re: Pre-Season (2007/2008)
The Galatasaray squad returned to Istanbul today after completing a week-long training camp in Duisberg, Germany. During that time, Galatasaray played three practice matches against Bundesliga sides, drawing two and losing one.
Last weekend, the Lions played to a scoreless draw with FC Koln, and on Wednesday they drew 1-1 against Fortuna Dusseldorf. And on Sunday, the team lost 2-1 to Vfl Bochum. Next Sunday, Galatasaray will play a practice match against Istanbulspor at Ataturk Olympic Stadium. On August 1st, the team will travel to Bolu for a match against League A side Boluspor. A final preparation match is scheduled for August 4th in Izmir, when the Lions take on Karsiyaka.

Re: Pre-Season (2007/2008)
Galatasaray failed to impress in a practice match against Istanbulspor on Sunday, drawing 1-1 at Ataturk Olympic Stadium. And on Wednesday, the team traveled to Bolu for a match against League A side Boluspor, but again failed to deliver a win, drawing 3-3. So the Lions have one last chance to prove to fans that they are ready for the new season, which begins next weekend. A final preparation match is scheduled for tomorrow in Izmir, when the Lions take on Karsiyaka.

Re: Pre-Season (2007/2008)
He should be rested for this match anyway regardless of wether he is fit or not, its only a practice match and they dont really reflect on whats going to happen this coming season!
