Question Would a great world cup for torres be Bad for him?

He is clearly leaving madrid or is he?(said he is desperate to play CL also)
If he keeps putting in the goals he will establish himself as one of the worlds top strikers but with this and atletico's finacial situation the price will go up.
Atletico are in a bad situation.Heavily in debt and have spent £15 mill on Agureo from Indepenite.
But atletico have stated they will not sell for less than 40 million euros and that was before the world cup!

Rumours are that Man united are prepared to offer £25 million which works out at around 37 million euros. That falls short of the first price tag (before the wc) which is sure to increase if torres has a good wc.

The clubs intrested are Man United Milan and Real Madrid but torres has ruled out real. With the scandal in Italy and if Milan are fined or relagated not only is there no money but torres would not join obviously. He has stated before that he fancies a move to the premiership over italy.
I reckon that he will be priced out of the market and would man united be willing to spend that much on a striker when they are at a time where they need to be wise in the transfer market, and a midfeilder is what they need.I think torres will be staying, what do you think on this situation.

these days atletico's president said that torres was to stay in madrid forever...
what I think is fernando would move only to Barça, Arsenal or Manchester United. He prefers premier league to calcio.

Yeah agree with arsenal and man united, but i dont think barca will bid when they already have eto'o giuliy messi and have just bought gudjonhson from chelsea.

I think madrid will sell if the price is right but they will have to be reasonable even if torres has a great world cup. They will prob look for £30 mill but it will have to be £20-25 mill at most.I think he has two years left on his contract and yesterday they offered him and one year extension.
Torres said he is doing nothing regarding his future while he is at the world cup.another question is he worth £25 million.I haven't seen much of him apart from the wc and one match against barca when he played really well.Is he worth that kind of money?

this year Barça won't go for him but in the last seasons they tried to sign him up. If I was Torres I would move to a great team because the preasure he has been subjected to is excessive. He is the atletico's captain since he was 18 and the responsability of making everything fell on him. When he plays with good footballers he looks really impressive.

Definitly he will not go to italy/I think he will either stay and stay for 3-4 seasons or he will go to man united.I am a man u fan and would love to see torres and rooney upfront, youthful pacey and skillfull.Would scare chelski shitless.whether man united will splash the cash is another thing,I read somewhere(not sure if true) that the glaziers have promised £30 mill a year for transfers.I think that united should use and more up.if torres is bought the strike force is sorted for years because torres is only 22 and rooney 20.mascherano is only 23 and what im saying is these players would fill postions for years and no more money would to be spent for years.

would still prob be second best to chelsea. i pray shevchenko and ballack will be flops in the premiership.I think torres and mascherano would complete united. The news is that riquelme is a target,im not so sure about him at united.dont get me wrong he is a world class player but would cost alot and united are ok in the left sided position.
