Torres leaving in the summer?
Chelsea plan £25M bid for Atletico Madrid ace Torres
February 7, 2006
Chelsea are planning a £25 million bid for Atletico Madrid captain Fernando Torres.
After his super performance at Barcelona on Sunday, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is convinced Torres is the striker he wants to bring to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is also a big fan of El Nino and backs Abramovich's plans.
London rivals Tottenham had a £20 million bid rejected in the final days of the winter transfer window, with Torres reluctant to leave Atletico unless it's for a regular Champions League participant.
