Default Greek Club Teams in European History

Here is Greece's ranking in the collective club teams history in UEFA:

1. Spain 65,320
2. Italy 60,445
3. England 58,629
4. France 46,781
5. Germany 44,489
6. Portugal 42,374
7. Holland 38,998

8. GREECE 31,414

9. Russia 29,583
10. Belgium 29,500
11. Scotland 29,375
12. Ukraine 26,350
13. Czech Republic 25,825
14. Turkey 25,666
15. Romania 24,457

Here are the latest standings for Greece in the UEFA Cup country coefficients.

2005 rankings - apply to European season 2006-07

Greece is in 8th place and it looks like we will not lose it as Holland in 7th place have a good lead. We are also ahed of Belgium who are in 9th place. If things stay like this in 2006/07 season we will have the same representation of Greek teams as toda. Two teams in CL (one dict in groups stage) and the league runner up in CL qualifying round 3. Four teams in UEFA Cup. One through Greek Cup and the 3rd, 4th and 5th league finishers in the current Greek league.

2006 rankings - apply to European season 2007-08

Greece is still in 8th place, and reaching 7th place (currently held by Holland) is almost impossible as they are too far ahead of us. Also Belgium in 9th place is getting closer, and if their teams can have good results in Europe, they have a chance of taking over 8th place. If we do manage to hold on to the 8th place, we will have the same representation as we currently have. See above for the number of teams we will be able to field.

2007 rankings - apply to European season 2008-09

Greece is in 13th place, and we are 3 points behind Russia who hold the 8th place. If things stay as they are in the 2008-09 season we will field two teams in CL, but they will have to go through the qualifying rounds. League winner in QR3, and league runner up in QR2. as for UEFA Cup we will have 2 teams. One through the Greek Cup, and the 3rd place league finishers. They will have to start the competition in QR2

2008 rankings - apply to European season 2009-10

We are in 17th place, with 8 points behind Germany who are in 8th place. If things stay as they are, we will have one team in CL and they will have to start in the QR2. In UEFA Cup we will have 3 teams. One through Greek Cup and 3rd and 4th place league finishers. They will have to start the competition in QR2.

Here are all the results by the Greek teams in the Champions Cup/League.

Until the 1992-1993 season the competition used to be known as the Champions Cup. Since 1992-1993 season, the competition was renamed Champions League.

\

Very simple. Since Turks and Albanians troll the Greek forum more than anybody else, I decided that if they were to look at this particular thread, then they would curious as to the history of Greek teams vs. Turkish and Albanian teams.

So, I highlighted that as such to make it easier for them to find. Also, the rest in bold are the runs that Greek teams had that were the best ones for all to easily research.

Dont hate Turks. Never have. Knew Turks in school and they were all right. Just their governemnt and nationalists I dislike. And this forum has plenty of nationalists...

Im getting the growing feeling that you all think I'm some kind of fanatic nationalist. Im just defending HELLAS from people in this forum who put us down in every way from soccer to politics to culture to history based on ignorance, racism, and sheer envy.

Thats why ever since I joined this forum back in March, 9 months ago, I went out of my way to post articles and start threads that were related to our national team and in, some instances, basketball (Eurobasket 2005, FIBA 2006 World Championships, Panathinaikos making the final four). I also defended HELLAS in this forum and other forums (World Soccer/Euro 2008) from insults and put-downs and showed these haters why they were wrong or were contradicting themselves.

But since none of you appreciate that, this post will be my last and I'm not coming back...

None wants you to leave. As Panathinaikos2 said you are one of the best and more intellectual Greek users of this forum.

But it doesn't makes a good impression to the others having a thread about Greek teams in European cups and underlining the Turkish and Albanian teams. I mean you want to prove what to who?

Anyway if this is what you feel I can't tell you something more. None called you a fanatic nationalist or something. I think you understand that we talk as friends and I don't want you to have any offense about what others or I tell you .
