Korea 2 - Iran 0 (behad's new name?)

So the game started with a goal in the first 59 secs of the game S.Korea with very good pressure right off the start Goal came off Jo Won Hee's foot a NEW player added to the roster. The goal was shot from inside the box it hit off 2 Iranian defenders and found the back of the net. After that Iranians looked pretty sluggish for the rest of 1st half it was all S.Korea in the 1st.

2nd half Iranians regrouped and started playing like a team, had a few good oppertunities with corner kicks and freekicks but failed to capitalize. late 2nd half at the 43rd min mark came S.Korea's 2nd goal by Kim Jin Gyu this goal once again coming off iranian players leg which chipped over the goal keeper.

Man of the match has to be Jo Won Hee he played real well very nice debute for him great goal. Also in this game u can feel that Karimi + Park were both marked with a X behind there back getting thrown tackled kicked all over the place. Karimi made couple nice passes and shot from quite the distance which sailed right of the goal post.

As a TRUE soccer fan i wont brag about todays win over Iran because thats not the way we should act towards our fellow asian NT. Iran's a good team they have great individual players but i saw very little team work which may have cost them the game. As for Behad change your name and put a paper bag over your head for next 2 weeks because you were talking alot of smack before this game and same goes for my favorite anti-korean friend AV3.

Korea and Iran all time is now 8wins-3draws-7losses in favor of S.Korea. Good nite i got to get my ass to bed and wake up for school.

pretty good overview of the game. iran played terrible and s korea played as a team. i think ne1 smart cannot say well we played better in the second half becuase s korea didnt have to score they had to defend and not allow a goal. branko should learn from what s korea did and what japan does and what 99% of national teams do. we have imo an eqaully talented team and we shouldnt play so defensive. a 4-5-1 was the same against japan and japan out played us. yes for iran thier was some bad luck but it doesnt excuse the fact that our coached had a terrible game. how did we have arahs borhani the start fo the champions league qauters be as a midfield? idk. how could nosrati and alavi continue to get a chance to play? idk. how could leave are best players till the game was almost done to not make useful sub. hopefully he can change and see that zare is better than nosrati and that we always need ATLEAST two forwards in stead of his dumb 4-5-1. ne way good job by s korea they defended well and they made the most of thier chances. neither team was gr8 but s korea looksetter after a rough wqc japan continues to play well with thier friendlies and a good run in wcq and an ok performance in the confederations cup. saudi looks good being the only team not to lose in the wcq so good luck to every1 in asia.

Anyways, my half blooded country lost to S.Korea in Seoul.

This just shows how lazy we Iranians are when we travel to other countries.

And not only that this shows how much imporvement we need to do to our squad before we play in the finals in 2006.

lol... I gotta admit as an Iranian myself Behdad does sound a bit arrogant. But hey who cares he was passionate and now hopefully he learns not to risk so many things for the unpredictable game.

Also i liked how advocaat switched to a 4-3-3 formation in 2nd half to defend against Irans attack very nicely done.

how about we agree one onething japan is numero uno. tokeyo im sure ur happy now. neways japan is number 1 they are a better TEAM have a better coach and they work hard. While all iran has is talent but even thier coach cant "put them in positions to make plays" but i think iran is still equl to saudi arabia and s korea becuz for 1 this wasnt either teams number1 teams. iran still has a lot of talent so if they can fix some problems in the team they can still beat other asian teams. s korea looked like they are on a better path even with a new coach less than a year a way. saudi looked real good in wcq so i think well all have are weaknesses and are strengths.
