kezman almost 100% leaving chelsea
Mourinho reveals summer transfer policy
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed his transfer policy for this summer will be a three-in, three-out strategy.
And the manager has revealed that one of those coming in is almost certain to be Atletico Madrid left-back Asier Del Horno, rather than Milan full-back Kakha Kaladze.
Mourinho spoke to Portuguese newspaper O Bola to confirm three players will be leaving, news that almost certainly signals the end of the Chelsea careers of Scott Parker, Mateja Kezman and Mikael Forssell.
Both Parker and Forssell have been interesting Everton, while Kezman is expected to return to Holland with PSV.
Mourinho was quoted in A Bola, saying: "Three will leave, three will come in, we will look to sign a left-back, a midfielder and an attacker. Our left-back already left in December for Newcastle, that is (Celestine) Babayaro.
"We are in conversations with Del Horno from Bilbao and later we have to sign a midfielder and an attacker. But there will be no Portuguese players coming in."
The Premiership champions have already been linked with a move for Internazionale's star striker Adriano and Lyon midfielder Mickael Essien, while Milan's left-back Kaladze has declared that he could make the move to Stamford Bridge.
However, Mourinho has now confirmed the London side are pursuing a deal for 24-year-old Del Horno to compete with Wayne Bridge next season.
The charismatic manager also shrugged off the 200,000 pounds (US$360,000) fine imposed on him for his part in the Ashley Cole tapping-up affair.
"Since the beginning it seemed to be a serious process, we participated in it calmly, but we are not content. Therefore the legal department of Chelsea will continue to analyse the situation," he said.
Mourinho is displeased with the verdict in the "tapping-up" row involving Arsenal full-back Ashley Cole which saw him, the player and the London club get slapped with hefty fines.
"The inquiry seemed to be serious, we took part in it with peace of mind, but we are not happy," he said in an interview published on Thursday in Portuguese sports daily A Bola.
"For this reason Chelsea's legal department will continue to analyse the situation," he added.
A Premier League tribunal ruled on Wednesday that Mourinho and Chelsea were guilty of trying to lure Cole away from Arsenal at a meeting with the player at a London hotel, even though he had two years left on his contract.
The English champions were fined 300,000 pounds (US$542,730) and handed a suspended three points deduction, Mourinho received a fine of 200,000 pounds while Cole was fined 100,000 pounds.
Under Premier League rules players who are under contract have to get permission from their clubs to talk to other teams about a possible transfer.
Clubs, meanwhile, who are interested in hiring a player must first get permission from their team before opening negotiations.
Mourinho denied approaching Cole about a transfer and suggested it was the player who approached Chelsea about a poassible move.
"No one doubts there was a meeting between me, (Chelsea chief executive) Peter Kenyon, Ashley Cole and his agent," he told the newspaper.
"But was it Chelsea that wanted a meeting to hire him or the player and his agent who wanted to meet with us to say that they would like to join Chelsea?" he added, saying this was the "key question."
Lawyers for Chelsea, Mourinho and Cole have 14 days to appeal the verdicts and punishments.

He'd be foolish to leave on their terms. His 3 (or 5, not sure) year contract is very lucrative. A loan to another team (with no pay cut) or sit on the bench for another year.

Re: kezman almost 100% leaving chelsea
i think he was selfish to move to chelsea..he had offers from other clubs too..n from that he mayb should have gone to Charlton..he would have certainly been playing in more of the games..once he established himself there he could move on..
adapting to a new league isnt easy for all players..just because your a hit in a 5-6th rank league doesnt mean you will be in one of the top 3..with the top club..enough said

Re: kezman almost 100% leaving chelsea
it's a massive amount of money. crespo said he'd rather warm the bench than accept a pay cut and be loaned out. he is loaned out now but with chelsea paying his full salary. to put it in perspective kezman is earning more than (real's) ronaldo. roman is a very generous employer ! he'd be crazy to accept a cut. a loan at full pay, yes. a cut NO WAY.

I remember reading the article where Kezman said he would move to england but not to a big club, only to a middle club so he could gain experience in the new league. He said he would stay at a midtable club for a few seasons then when he was "ready" move to a big club. Unfortunately this season could ruin his reputation no matter how good he is.

To the people that matter, his reputation is pretty much intact. His goals/minutes played was better than Drogba's last year and he hit the post an impossible amount of times too.

listen..even though im serb i still think kezman is not that good..mijatovic and kovacevic have been better to me..been successful at their clubs..juve..real..kezman just isnt the man..he scored alot of goals in like a 5-6th top ranked league like i said..mayb its just the way chelsea play but if thats the fact then move somewhere else..have a successful season and ill give him credit for it..but atm nothing..i hope to c him rekindle his career elsewhere and be successful there but chelsea..nope
he has not scored in the champions league in something like 3-4 years..that says alot..cant cope with the big time and the big matches..ok he scored against man u with a great goal but that was yrs n yrs ago..he hasnt scored now for 3-4 yrs like i said..not a good record to be carrying around

Mate u gotta be joking, every player hits the post, you cant say his season hinges on the fact hes hit the post a few times. BTW a shot hitting the post is considered an "off target' shot.
Drogba was injured a lot and was awesome in the CL even though his domestic form was shit.

Re: kezman almost 100% leaving chelsea
statistically kezman's season wasn't bad. the players love him. apparently he is amazing in the training sessions but when the team sheet comes up, however impressive his training performance is, murinho always picks his sweetheart drogba. he won't be the first chelsea striker to ask questions.

Re: kezman almost 100% leaving chelsea
