Default Inter Forum Reflections. New Moderators needed. Voting ongoing.

Many things have occured here recently.

Getting briefly back to the history of the forum. This forum really boosted in 2001 thanks to joint efforts of fanta, ayt, elcino, slavenik, abulmahshin (001 now) and maybe myself plus Severus and of course I almost forgot tok. Skualo and Elvis and Massimo with Ilfenomeno were another great bunch of contributors. Some of them are out now, most of others not that active. Probably because we managed to discuss everything here and became real friends, I never believed that such friendship may occur in internet. One thing I want is to have you addresses and numbers or emails in case if once upon a time our roads in real life would cross.

Now the situation is different, veterans is a great word and respect they've got is great too, but it's time for changes if we really want to stay floating and being the best in WSB. We need a new boost, new creativity and new critical thinking. A team of mods here have always been great but it falls apart now due to several reasons.

My proposal now is to define or agree on our core values and traditions of the forum (I would suggest):
1. quality over quantity! (I always tried to follow this)
2. mutual respect and tolerance, no personal offences
3. think before you post (different cultures, different ages, different temperaments)
4. never force your ideas to the board
5. last but not least: FRIENDSHIP!

keep in mind that life is not ideal neither we.

that was introduction deep feelings from satanist...

I want to say that I am retiring too. this board is part of my life and I did sacrifise part of my personal life to this board, but now it's time to say BYE to the moderatorship. It's always hard to do this as I've seen Mihailovic retiring, then PFC desperately wanting to stay, Fanta disappearing as cool as he always been... then sudden act form Doz...

As a person who contributed to Inter forum to increase the number of posts from 4000 to 30 000 and who brought all those oscars, locations different form just a country and city, avatars representing something more than your team and other strange things I think I have the right to propose some rules of the moderator voting game.

001. 001 stays as mod!
1. propose 4 nominees 3 major (one back up)
2. votes of Inter forum members are valued higher than of other team supporters (it's not any kind of racism towards other fans, but the ones who actually have Inter in their hearts shall have an advantage over others, who just drop by to make an invaluable contribution, and then go away and don't really live the life of the forum).
3. new mods must be preferably be mods only at this forum or maybe at the other way less active ones, in order to be creative and very well informed of the team news, forum people and etc. Even if you have enough free time now to run two intense forums and participate in couple or more different boards, you might not be able to do this in future, you might not be able to do your best for this forum in terms of creativity and etc. PFC case is a great example.

So finally I vote for:

Elcino - because he's legend, he's very devoted to Inter and to the forum, he's well balanced and he's creative. Look on number of threads he started. And it's not fair to punish him for his stupidity in 2001, cauz now it's 2003 and he had changed. he really deserves being a mod.

Nismo - young, talented , humour and creativity. well balance and argumentative. he also represents an interesting part of the world, so him being a mode would also provide one of Inter mods always being online at the board and this is very important too. Myself, Fanta, Ayt and lil were located in Sweden, Australia and America and one of us was always online.

Musiq -very good person, one of those always around, often has a point

back up- Ilcapitano- knowledgable, friendly, damn right always interesting to read his posts (quality over quantity, he should be our columnist ).

very hard choice to make... Inter fanatic would have been my 5th option, but he has his girl in sig and his destiny is to stay with her and become another elcino of the forum

why not:
Slavenik - not that often around recently
Tok, Zul and Severus - have their own forums even more that one, so either they should leave other forums to devote more time to the greatest forum or no votes. and as elcino ones said "you have one team deep in your heart", not more, cause not enough space left afterwards.

for others sorry pals if I did not mentioned you but I do think you're great!

the only thing I want to be left form moderatorship is the right to be allowed to the mods forum (I think I would still be useful to that forum, and want to see if someone would start speaking about banning me).

Take care everyone
Zek

PS: Voting is on for the coming 2 weeks or more.

Has someone contacted Fanta and asked what he thinks about this???

Anyway, if we're going to have three new mods, I would like to nominate:
Nismo
He's a fantastic poster, who really deserves to be a mod.
Blaugrana
Well he is moderating other forums, and has done it very well, which means he has experience and many friends on WSB. I wonder if taking care of both Inter and Barca forums would be too big a job even for him, but if Blau says he can do it...he can do it.
Elcino
He's started so many threads on this board, his posts are always fun to read...and he's a strong personality alright ...

I must add that I was expecting two new mods, not three...so I'm very surprised about this Zek, I hope it doesn't mean you're going to quit posting here.

I'm sure that no-one here wants you to resign, you've done a good job.

thanks ilcapitano, it's damn hard decision but we must have new blood over here to sub "tired" oldies and to relieve the forum, which loses it's unique from month to month...becoming an average one over here

fanta is unreachable to my regret, that's why it's worthwile if we exchange phone numbers or emails or i don't know what...

i'll keep posting for fun without any responsibility to invent some new topics and read all crap you post

My choices;

ilcapitano- good active poster, doesn't fire out overdramatic posts off the top of his head and is generally impartial in arguments. Not to mention his excellent knowledge of Inter.

nismo- pretty much the same reasons as ilcapitano although this Aussie does tend to get hot under the collar occasionally.
No just joking, i'll just say he's more argumentative than ilcapitano and leave it at that. Great football knowledge as well.

ayt- He did a good job a couple of years ago and then disappeared for a few months. But now that he's back and posting regularly, there's no better qualified candidate for the job.

back-up: BLAUGRANA- Excellent football knowledge and extremely active poster. He's done an astounding job in revamping the Barca board from dust to being arguably, the 4th most active forum on WSB. The only reason i have him as a back-up is because he already mods 2 other boards and may find it difficult to juggle all 3.

To all my other friends who i haven't nominated, sorry, but when choosing mods it's important to pick the best candidates and not just the members you like.

Although my vote doesn't count, I want to admit, I agree with Dozzer.
My vote goes for BLAU, cause i know that guy very good from the Barca forum, where he always shows a surprising human width also against oponent fans and i think, that's a pretty rare property here around. Chatting with equal minded deepens friendship, chatting with oponents on a friendly way usually shows how matured is a person and Blau is together with some other guys here on the top of my scale for his friendly and objective way.
Also great posters imo Ilcapitano and Nismo (Nismo, you aren't allowed to laugh ), always making good points in their views. Very cool guys.

I'd prefer a poll about the matter, cause I think it is the most democratic way for choosing new Mods.

Well as a often Barca forum visitor I know about Blau`s modding qualities so he is number one on my list.

For the rest both Nismo and ilCapitano should do good. I don`t post much on the Inter forum but these are my choices.

Default I Quit

This isn't very democratic

I propose new rules

*We have an election every year, where everyone votes for 4 new moderators

* After their term, we do another voting

* I say we vote for 4 nominees because I QUIT, not because i hate this place or something..i like it a lot, but in true democracy we need an overall turnover, with no special treatment for anybody and anyways i feel i am not gonna be on this board as much as i used to be, i will continue posting god willing, but to a lesser extent.

So if it aint too much to ask i say everyone votes for 4 nominees from the members list excluding those who do not want to be moderator (i.e 001), and maybe next year i will put my name in the hat for the 2004 election

It's sad to see Doz and the rest of the bunch retiring and if replacements should be found, then I think me, Severus, teo would do a great job

Ok, now I will take this seriously
IMO the best candidate for this would be BLAUGRANA, he is already experienced and does a great job everywhere, and he would be the perfect person for this job.

My second candidate would be Nerazzuri, many of you forgot about him, but he's a great & active poster around here, and im sure he will do a great job, as he is doing over in my site

My third candidate would be Il Capitano, I don't post much around in the Inter board, but I do check up on everything, and every post he has done has *quality*, I think he would be a perfect mod.

My fourth candidate would be Musiq he dissapeared earlier on, but has now returned, and is also a very good poster.

oh and....Forza Juve

If the Inter board is selecting two new moderators, the best candidates are il capitano and Blaugrana. I know them mostly from other forums in WSB but they are both extremely knowledgeable & fair-minded lads, that's an important quality that this board will lose when Doz steps down but there's no doubt they're up to it.

I like people who are respectful, fair and have good football knowledge. With my run-ins on these forums not Inter to be exact I have found that Blaugrana and Severus to be two great individuals who are not afraid to post their opinions and not afraid to speak up when something is done to hurt other people. Even though they have their own boards I still think they can do a great job on the Inter forum. to Blaugrana and Severus.
