General help
The MGC Chatbox Evo is really easy to use

You can :
  1. Send chats : you just have to enter the text in the dedicated input field and then to validate it by pushing the return key ou by clicking on the OK button.
  2. Format the chats :
  3. once you un-collapse the chatbox formatting toolbar by clicking on the BBCode button, you have access to different formatting options for your chats. You can format a chat by selecting a part (or the totality) of it and then select one of the buttons/list. You can also add empty formatting tags by selecting nothing and clicking one of the buttons/menu thus allowing you to add the chat text afterwards between these tags.*
  4. Access to the different channels : you can have access to different channels restricted to only some usergroupds or for specifics use of the chatbox. The different channels are accessible from the buttons on the left of the chatbox.*
  5. Edit your chats (or others chats) : the edition of a chat can be done by a simple double-click on it.*
  6. Use specific commands : some commands can be accessible in the chatbox depending on the will of the administrator(s) of your forum. These commands let you execute specific actions of formatting, management, etc... You will herebelow the information on the command which are accessible to you. You must notice that you are not forced to use the command prefixes (/command_name) when you use them in the channel they are attached to (except in the general channel).*
* : Depending on the settings chosen by the administrator(s) of the forum, you might not have access to all these features.

is it an irish custom to kiss irish people on the cheeks and bow when you greet them for the first time ? or is it because they are just drunk ?

just wondering because i spent new years with some of my south african and irish friends in the city ... and this irish guy insisted i "greet" him in that way.

Not that I have heard of. I might kiss my best friends on the cheek, but its more a piss take one. i would say that Drink took over your compatriot , in the way it takes over many Irish and people alike. They sound like very immotional guys!!! Im sure it was all a bit of fun. i hope you had a great night apart from that scare Fanta ..............

well it just seemed weird thats all. like something the japanese would do. it was all harmless anyway. he had a girlfriend so he wasen't gay or anything.

but i must say that the irish people are very friendly !! they can talk the house down. and they are so affectionate - both males and females.

i had a great new years but i can hardly remember any of it.

as everyone knows sydney is famous for having the most spectacular fireworks display and if you watched CNN or sky or whatever the next day you may have seen it. and i can tell you now i had a front row seat (literally) to the fireworks on the harbour bridge. i was actually going over the bridge on a train as they were all going off - awesome view.

the rest of the night was just drink .... drink ... drink ... drink ... and a very, very, very, VERY, bad morning after.

    Default Cool.

i saw some of the fireworks on tv. they looked pretty damn good alright. Yeh, funnily enough a great I rish trait is that we do generaly tend "to talk a sheeps ass off!". And we can be affectionate as you have pointed out. I wsa at a party in my friends house on new years ,we all put money together and got Kegs of beer and 2 chefs to cook us and indian cuisine , after which mant fireworks were lit and much drinking rendered many of us on consciouce! i danced with his next door neighbour (an old man) , who was a smooth groover!! oh well once Im on the dance floor there aint nothin that can stop me !! Owwwwww.. Billy jean, Not my girl.. Says that i am the one... but the Kid is not my son.................................

No I cant say that I recognise those names!!!
Although theres over 1 million people (1 third our population) living in Dublin so its not that unbelievable
My friend was in Sydney for the 2000 new year. he missed all the fireworks on the harbour cause he was in the olympic village. i had to phone him and tell him about it!!!!!!!!
