USA vs North Korea, that could cause some good hair pulling.

lol I was actually doing some research on the Turkish side last wee as their main player is from Australia and the funny thing is that none of the 20 or so players were born in Turkey

But apparently the team is on a high and we could see them in the next major events, most of the players also play for top women teams in Europe and some have played college in the U.S.

    USA VS Colombia tomorrow!

Today Mexico had a very bad defeat of 4 - 0 against Japan!

I think Germany will play the U.S for the Final...unless Brazil has something else to say about that!

I'm watching the second Semi Final between Sweden and Japan, and I think that Japan has introduced the women's game to the next level of development. Stronger and more physical teams like the United States, Germany and Sweden play football at a very steady pace and they always try to be as direct and efficient as possible when they move forward. What they haven't discovered yet is how to move the ball around as fluently and as quickly as the Japanese; no where near as quickly.

If they had the height of their opponents and had at least one key position CF, they'd pose more of a threat to the best teams out there. Win or lose, it's impressive and it's really the next step forward in women's football. Progress!

Great final between Japan and the United States. It could have gone either way, but Japan took it in the end on penalties.

Man, what a game. Seriously. The United States was more direct, I thought; they played excellent balls in the air into the box and the used the flanks really well the whole game. Japan was more patient, particularly in their build-up as it was important for them to hold possession. Their through balls were first class.

Like I said, it could have gone either way. The losing team earned a lot of respect because they gave it their all; they hit the bar once and the post once; they tested the Japanese goalie the entire match. In other words, they never gave up. The Japanese girls really took the women's game to the next level with their style of play; lots of quick passing and great movement all over the park; very similar to what Barcelona and Spain have been doing in the last few years.
