Default Friendly: Mexico vs. Bosnia & Herzegovina

Mexico will take on Bosnia-Herzegovina on Feb. 9 at Georgia Dome

Tri fans in Atlanta, mark your calendars for Feb. 9. The Mexican national soccer team is coming to town to kick off their 2011 US Tour and 2014 World Cup cycle against Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The match – to be played in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome at 8 p.m. ET – will mark El Tri’s second-ever visit to Atlanta.

“What better way to start this new cycle of the Mexican national team,” said Mexican soccer federation general secretary Decio de María in a statement. "I'm sure the fans will enjoy this important event, because it means the beginning of our preparation for the 2011 sports competitions, such as Copa America and Gold Cup, and the start of the World Cup qualifiers.”

Should be a good game. New coach, new players, or slightly new players. Interesting game.

I predict a 2-2 draw. It will be an interesting match opposing two very strong and decent football nations.

Well it depends what type of squad both teams bring in. Hopefully both come in with their A squads.

What players are you guys expecting Mexico to bring? We're definitely not going to see Franco, Blanco, Perez, Castillo (not that he was in the team for long anyways) I know Osorio won't be there too.

We Bosnians have tickets in section 113 to 129.
Hardcore fans between 123 to 128 in the lower section.

Both teams will likely bring a strong squad made up of a few talented youngsters who will be tested during this match.

I actually dont want them to call up Hernandez, he has too much going for him at Manchester.

Probably Vela too, assuming Bolton does pick him up on loan.

on a seperate note: anyone know when Gold Cup tickets go on sale?? I wouldnt mind going to the Rose Bowl Final

I don't see why the Mexican coach would leave Hernandez out of the squad. Expect him to play in this game.

Because this is a meaningless friendly? and not to mention a very important game against Man City on the 12th?

It's not meaningless for Bosnia as this friendly will serve to prepare itself for an important Euro qualifying game against Romania coming up in March.

It's not completely meaningless to Mexico either! They have Copa America coming up in July.
