    Default New York Red Bulls

Red Bulls host key match vs. TFC

A vital battle in the Eastern Conference is ahead again at Giants Stadium, as Toronto FC travels to face the New York Red Bulls.

    Red Bulls basic info:

    NEW YORK RED BULLS

The New York Red Bulls are an American professional soccer club based in in the New York metropolitan area that participates in Major League Soccer (MLS). The team is set to play in a new stadium in Harrison, New Jersey named Red Bull Arena for the 2010 MLS season, moving from Giants Stadium, at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, where they had played their home matches since the team's founding.

The team's headquarters are located in Secaucus, New Jersey.
The team is a founding member of MLS (1996), but has gone through several name changes. The team was originally known as the New York/New Jersey MetroStars through 1997. From the 1998 season until right before the 2006 season, the team was known as simply the MetroStars, though 'NY/NJ' continued to be displayed on the MLS Website in reference to the team through the early 2000s. On March 9, 2006, it was sold to Red Bull GmbH, and the name of the organization was changed to Red Bull New York while the playing team was to be called the New York Red Bulls, because they are located in the New York metropolitan area.

Osorio after new partner for Angel

After obtaining two midfielders and a pair of defenders, Juan Carlos Osorio figures the final piece of the puzzle to rebuild the New York Red Bulls is a speedy forward to compliment Juan Pablo Angel.

Yeah makes sense since Altidore is now gone! But who will join Angel upfront! I think he is going to bring some Argentinian player!

That would be a great addition. Obviously right now they need all the help they can get.

Yeah they should go for a youngster or someone well known! Hey imagine if they bring Ariel Ortega "El Burrito" that would be sick but then again he will get in so much trouble if he got caught drinking and driving here but o well it will be great but I don't they are looking for someone like him he is kind of old and they want a fast forward!

In a move that should give them more options up front, the New York Red Bulls announced the signing of Macoumba Kandji on a loan deal from the USL-1 side Atlanta Silverbacks.

The stadium looks really good. I'm glad to see these soccer specific projects be completed because I think the MLS market has potential. Soccer is catching on especially with the younger generation.

He's actually pretty good for them. Wears the 8 too. I think he's part of their core of players.

He's an ethnic Serb he identifies as Bosnian. Weird to see a patriot in the US but I guess it's another Misimovic case.
