Well that's a lot better from the Kiwis 14 off the oveer, shame!

    NEW ZEALAND INNINGS

6th over - 33-2 Anderson strays onto Taylor's legs and is clipped through mid-wicket for four before Taylor gets seriously lairy, falling to one knee and hoicking Anderson over the backward square-leg fence for the first maximum of the evening. A half-bunger from Anderson and Taylor laces him through the covers for another four - nothing agricultural about that, proper cricket shot. New Zealand hitting their straps, 14 from the over. KC and the Sunshine Band! My nan liked them.
Oh well 6:00PM it's Friday, happy days off home now to see the second half of the Italy V Romania game, sounds exciting but no goals.

I think a couple of cold ones are in order

The real test comes against South Africa later in the Summer. If we can beat them we will be back up to number 2 in the world rankings.

Although we are a little inconsistant, I do think when they are all firing, England are a match for anyone. South Africa is a huge test.

I had a professor from New Zealand this past semester, HUGE cricket fan. His goal in life is to play a game of cricket on every continent. He has 4 continents thus far. A little off topic but I never seen a match of cricket live or on tv.

I like that, interesting to have played Cricket all round the world, I think for those who have never really followed Cricket it's a bit miss-understood, like say American football is often miss understood, both games are as much about tatics and mental strength as they are physical ability. Especially Test match Cricket a game that can last 5 days and when at it's best both teams will contest closely for victoy throughout the game. To the outsisder a game that is slow and lasts 5 days is an extremely boring concept but to those who enjoy and understand it, it' s the best of all.

Strauss is back in the team.

Andrew Strauss has been called up for England's second one-day international against New Zealand on Wednesday as cover for the injured Alastair Cook.

Cook has been struggling with a right shoulder injury since the final Test at Trent Bridge over a week ago.

He missed the Twenty20 victory over the Kiwis and was also ruled out of the first one-day match on Sunday, which England won by 114 runs.

Strauss last played a one-day game for England in April 2007.

I agree. Cricket is my favourite sport. Warwickshire are my team.
