Diego Maradona Jr, the illegitimate son of Argentine great Maradona, has been named in Italy's Under-17 squad.
The teenager, who turns 15 next month and resembles his stocky, brown-eyed father, has been training with the Napoli youth team.
He was born the same year Maradona Sr led the Italian club to their first ever League title.
The 40-year-old lost a paternity suit in 1991 to Cristiana Singara who has raised their son alone with no financial support.

He will be in Seria A for sure. Napoli will be team that he will play for. But as far as i know Napoli isnt in Seria A, so he will have to take Napoli to Seria A and than speaking of achiving good results.

i wouldn't mind having diego JR play for my azzurri. just as long as he makes it based solely on his capabilities and not because of his name.

I have heard of this maradonna Jr., but never read anything about his skills... DOes anyone know if he's got what it takes to carry the big man's name... thats in playing soccer only and not doping...
