Josep Puyol, padre del Capitán del Barcelona Carles Puyol, falleció este viernes en accidente laboral tras volcar la máquina retroexcavadora que conducía en el municipio de Sarroca de Bellera (Lleida).

El accidente se ha producido sobre las 16.57 horas cuando, por causas que aún se desconocen, la excavadora ha volcado y ha atrapado al hombre, de 56 años, que estaba realizando trabajos de adecuación de un camino situado en una zona conocida como Prat d´Or, informaron los Bomberos de la Generalitat.

Hasta el lugar se ha desplazado un helicóptero medicalizado y otro del departamento de Interior con personal del Grupo de Apoyo de Actuaciones Especiales (GRAE) de los Bomberos de la Generalitat, además de seis vehículos terrestres que han estado trabajando para retirar del camino la máquina accidentada.

Puyol, quien se encontraba concentrado con el equipo azulgrana, ha conocido la noticia nada más aterrizar en La Coruña, donde el Barca se enfrentará mañana al Deportivo en Riazor.

El central ilerdense tomará inmediatamente un vuelo de regreso a la capital catalana y viajará acompañado del directivo del Barcelona Albert Perrín y del Director de Protocolo, Ramon Pujol.
