I just heard that Pana are in serious negotiations with Bolton Wanderers of the English 1st Division for the sale of Nikopolidis. Sounds like a bad move for Nikopolidis to go to anything but a Premiership club, but what do you guys think of it?

i'm not a fan of PAO, but if i may,
nikopolidis is an overrated goalkeeper, PAO's backup keepers, and especially xalkias are far superior to him, so it would be a good move for PAO, nikopolidis couldn't cut it in the premier division ( is bolton moving to the premier next season?) as it frees up space for xalkias to play.
by the way, i think PAO got a seriously good deal by getting Olisadebe from Polonia, next year he's gonna cause some damage in the CL and greek championship.
what do you think?

Well, I don't think that Bolton is going anywhere for a while, but I agree that Olisadebe will be a gem for Pana. His form before his transfer was a bit sketchy, but I agree with you that next year's CL will feature him for Pana. Pana have something of a tradition with Polish players, the best of course being Warzcyha, and for the most part, apart from Sypniewski who is now at OFI Kriti, the Poles have played well. Next year will be a good one for Pana.
Ad for Nikopolidis, you may be right about him being overrated. Chalkias is a capable back-up, and it would be good for him to start, but than Nikopolidis has also shown his worth between the posts. However, you are right that Chalkias deserves a chance.

Xalkias is a GREAT keeper. I have seen him play, and when he is on, he is VERY good. Tall, strong, he commands his area well. To bad he got injured...
As for Nikopolidi...HA! The guy sucks. I don't think he is worth anything. And why is Bolton going for him? He is like 30!
