  2. Format the chats :
  3. once you un-collapse the chatbox formatting toolbar by clicking on the BBCode button, you have access to different formatting options for your chats. You can format a chat by selecting a part (or the totality) of it and then select one of the buttons/list. Default Worlds Best Batsman??

I know everyone loves going on about Lara vs Tendulkar.

But that argument doesnt matter any more. Both are brilliant, but their best days are behind them now.

The worlds best batsman now is Ricky Ponting. He has been absolutely dominant in the last few years, and the way he is batting now in SA is incredible.

Well, if u consider both forms of the game, yes, it's Ricky Ponting. The Lara vs Sachin argument is not valid anymore.

Ponting IS the best ODI batsman.
I think he is also the No1 test batsman around.

Rahul Dravid is very good, but not as good as pointing, pointing can take a game away from you and save it, where dravid can save a match by blocking all day and not getting out, he doesn't have all the shots tho.

Dravid is basically a copybook player and the most technically perfect player in the world. The pull, hook, sweep, reverse sweep, all the drives u name it he has it. Add to it a flawless defence. Ponting is a very bad player of spin, his test scores in the subcontinent is a testimony to that. Dravid on the other hand can play anywhere in the world and literally bore the bowlers to death There was a criticism that Dravid cudn't play in Australlia (which was true till the last tour) but the last time India toured Australlia, he scored a brilliant 200 (when we were 85/5) in the 1st innings and followed it up with a 75 not out to win the Test. As long as Ponting doesn't do anything in the subcontinent (esp against the Indian spin attack) u cannot conisder him the best Test player.
But I do agree on one point though, if u want to win a test chasing a stiff target on the 5th day, then Ponting is a better choice than Dravid (however if its the 5th day in India Ponting will not make any impact )

That Hussey is a future superstar. He has looked good this summer. Dhoni from India is also a prospect.

Seriously? Cook is a much better prospect for England than Pietersen. KP can only slog it really.....
