New rule in Mexican Football
How many of you are aware of the new rule in Mexican Football that establishes that teams must field a player under 21 years old for at least half of the regular season?
Although with some reluctancy from some clubs the iniciative was approved in the last meeting of club presidents, they decided it in honor to promote the debut of young player in mexican first division, this due to the lack of success for Mexican national teams with age limit in recent comeptitions.
The measure was received with mixed oppinions, clubs like Pumas, Atlas, Chivas, America and Cruz Azul among others supported it and think it would benefit mexican football, these teams and specially the first three are distinctivly among the squads with the lowest age average in Mexican first division and all the teams above mentioned are known by having lots of young players to fill that requirement, meanwhile clubs like Jaguares, Veracruz, Atlante and Dorados are unhappy with the measure first because they don't have any U21 players on their team and second because they don't have the development franchises to bring one.

Yaah, I heard of it and is unfair for those teams that doesn't have young players. And besides that they must play half of the season!, that's too much. This proposal must be changed, I think.

I think it's a good idea.
I wonder what "playing half the season" means though. Is there a number of minutes they need to play in order to meet the rules?
While some teams do not have young players, I think having to train and develop them will actually benefit them in the long run.
!Hasta que salen con algo bueno!
