That winning feeling !!!

There's a line in "A street car named desire" where Brando after winning a game of cards is accused by the losers of being lucky. "LUCK" he says gloating "you know what luck is, ...luck is beleiving your lucky". You get the impression that when he's on a losing streak he stops beleiving he's lucky and starts beleiving he's unlucky. And when Brando's unkucky he does one of two things; he lashes out, or he sulks.

How many Brandos are on our team ?

0-1 down to Sevilla and you could count them on one hand, 0-2 and your going to need both. That's quite a lot for a team in a competitive sport.

So Barca is in crisis again and the old player quotes are coming out "...All we're concentrating on is winning our next game" "...we're not even thinking of losing". Last week they were drawing for 4 minutes and losing for 86. If only they thought about losing, and what they have to do when they are, maybe they'ed stop feeling unlucky on the pitch.

Don't kick other players, kick the ball. Don't sulk, score. And if at the end of 90 minutes you've still lost, then you can go home and kick your car or the telly or your dog, whatever, just leave it off the pitch.

Some of the players do this of course ( I don't mean kick their pets ). They NEVER STOP COMPETING. Luis Enrique springs to mind, it's no coincedence that he's injured now, he wouldn't allow such sulking on his pitch. But we have others, and IMHO they should all start every game in influental positions, then build your system around that Van Gall, you can tinker with it later when we have regained that winning feeling !!!

CENTER DEFENCE : POYUL
CENTER MIDFEILD: ROCHEMBACK, GERARD
ATTACKING MIDFEILD: SAVIOLA, REQUILME
STRIKER: you could put Bonano in front of this passion and he'd get goals.

Sorry for the long post, it's just that i'm sulking lately, ...i'm off to kick my Dog.
