    Default U.S Sucks!!!!!

The U.S have been fluking their way throughout this tournament. It isn't helped when the media such as ESPN and CNN are so pro-American in their reports of the World Cup. The U.S beat a Portugal side that was far from their best, they were made to look like fools against South Korea(though the reports in the media fail to give a true account of that match) and when they met a Polish side playing with a largely a reserve team, they were gang raped. Polland is far from a football power and even with their 2nd string side they tore the U.S a new #@$%hole. Their luck doesn't end their either, despite finishing 2nd in their group, they draw the easier team in Mexico, lets be honest South Korea had the tougher opponent in Italy despite the fact they finished 1st.

LETS NOT FORGET THE HAND OF GOD IN THE MEXICO MATCH!!!!!!!!

Even though I don't think much of the Germans, let us all hope that the U.S get a Saudi Arabia like whipping. Hopefully that will help silence the increasingly vocal, egotistical, biased and uneducated(football sense) Americans.

The fact is the U.S r getting a very very big head over nothing!!!!!

    This thread is a joke.

First we were going to get killed by Portugal and when we beat them all of a sudden Portugal is incompetent. We are the only team in the tournament that can claim a point against Korea who was allowed to foul at will and yet again that is somehow a fluke. We have a letdown against a Polish team that many favored to advance from the group. Who knows how that game would have turned out without the dubious foul called against Donovan on his equalizer but of course, nobody remembers that. Then the Great Mexicans who nearly put Italy out of the tournament catch the Portugese Incompetency Syndrome against the US.

May the US win, for no other reason than to keep you bitter for a few more days. You deserve it.

Poor Guy (ffifield) doesn't know soccer, just like the biased American media. U were lucky to claim the point against Korea, did u even watch the match from a unbiased perspective????? I know it is hard, but do try!!! That polish side like I said b4 was 2nd rate and Polland haven't been a football power for decades!!!!! Mexico might have had their moments during the tournament, but we all know they r much easier than say an Italy. U failed to acknowledge the HAND OF GOD, or do u just erase moments like that from your memory............oh I don't really see your media reporst reflect that incident either, just like a typical America covering up all types of negatives such as atrocities and selfish experiments they continiually conduct to the detriment of the rest of the world. American's can't even play soccer with out using their hand what a absolute HACK!!!!, no wonder when it comes to bigger things such as war the U.S helped in a big way to invent the term friendly fire when u consider the amount of stupid accidents the U.S army r responsible for!!!!

The U.S r doing a wonderful job looking stupid through their talkshows already, there is no need for them to take on more roles!!!! That way the World would truly be a safer place!!!

Default USA Paid The Refs Off!!!

Hey, you forgot to mention that the USA bought the refs in the England Brazil game, to make sure the old Colonial kingdom did not get further in the WC then the USA did. Oh yea...they also bought the refs in all three French games, to prevent them from winning a second WC in a row. Can't have any repeats can we? There is no need to mention the "Hand Of God", not that it would have made a difference (2-1, 2-0, either score and Mexico is still out)...the ref was paid not to call PK's against the USA. I suppose they better make sure they paid the refs for today's game against Germany....I'd hate to see all that $$$ go to waste and not win the WC. At the rate the USA is spending $$$ on refs, we won't even have to show up to the next WC, they'll just give the USA the trophy without playing a game!!!!

    Default Another Ignorant Fool

I never mentioned or even hinted the U.S were into bribery and corruption. My dear friend Mirkwood seems to have a penchant for exaggeration and irrelevance. Only a ignorant, stupid, superficial or totally biased individual would claim that the HAND OF GOD was irrelevant!!!! Moments like these have a direct impact and a huge bearing on the outcomes of games because they greatly effect the minds and spirit of the players involved, that is y these moments can be classified as turning points or crucial moments. From the U.S perspective there definitly is a vested interest to not mention the HAND OF GOD, that is probably y CNN or ESPN skipped, neglected or overlooked the whole incident, just like our friend MIRKWOOD would also like to have everyone doing. I mean lets just sweep everything under the carpet, hey y not have eleven players all being able to use our hands!!!!

Doesn't matter now because the U.S lost and r out of the tournament. So the integrity of this World Cup is safe from further incidents such as the HAND OF GOD we all witnessed in the Mexico match.

I will however agree with UKGOALIE, the U.S r a better side than the one from 1998.

Personally I was highly impressed with the way the US have played throughout this WC. Even today they outplayed Germany, only a good performance by Kahn stopped the US from going through. Landon Donovan has also been impressive.

As I'm sure when they get back home the majority of US people will hardly care what they have acheived, they can have a big CONGRATULATIONS from me (which I'm sure they would prefer anyway ).

I am also surprised by the US performance. They deserved to go to the semifinals, but that's football. Congrats to USA!

Maybe underestimating them will be the key to a repeat performance in 2006?!

I'm impressed by their performance too, I was rooting for them against the Germans, and it was unfortunate to see Donovan do too much and yet not finish that job with a goal.

the us team deserved credits for their performance in the wc, evryone were thinking about argentina, france, portugal, italy fighting each other in the q-finals before the wc start, but they were not there, it was us fighting there, no matter what u say, a team in the q-final would not be there by pure luck
