Who is the best Barca player ever? Many thinks Kubala, but what about Cruyff, Maradona, Laudrup and Figo:worried:, Ronaldo or Simonsen? You decide!

i dont know much about barca history but i know that they had an asskicker called "suarez"...then he move to Inter :D so i think he is the best with maradona and figo<------(looser after joining madrid)

It has to be Mr.Cruyff. His ball control, dribbling and crossing were second to none.

I think we should be taking into consideration what the players did WHILE THEY WERE AT BARCA when making our votes. I'm not familiar enough with the past players' performances at Barca other than many of them did well. However, more recently (say since about 94) I'd have to say Rivaldo is the best.

Yeah, i'll bet there aren't many of us that has seen all or even any of the games with the previously Barca-teams...But i have seen some of Michael Laudrup's games, and he was one of the greatest when he played for Barca! Too bad he went to Real Madrid though! That's probably why no one says that he was the greatest. But i also like(d) Romario!

I was thinking Romario too. The thing about players like Ronaldo and Cruyff though is that they didn't stay on at the club very long. I think service and consistent good performances should count for something. In about 10 years it'll be Puyol!!!

Good point! They were stars at that time, but know one said that they played best at Barca. Ronaldo's best time is in Internazionale! Maradona played in Barca for about two years and won a championsship, but he played best at Napoli.
Cruyff played also well at Ajax i think, but he's best time were probably at Barca! He didn't stayed long though, but he did create the great "El Dream Team".

Good point Lasse.
I can't comment too much since I've only been following the club for about 5 years or so. In that time though I'd have to say Rivaldo. Another player during that time was Guardiola. He didn't score all the goals, but his role was very important.

Yeah, Guardiola was damn good! He was also a very important player of the "El Dream Team"
BTW...;) Many of the players on that team can be mentioned. Stoichkov, Zubizarreta, Romario, Laudrup and Bakero.

Yeah, and I'm pretty sure it was Rexach. In fact it must have been as Rexach was an assistant for Cruyff when he was manager and Bakero played under Cruyff.
I may sound fanatic now ... but I consider Rivaldo the best soccer player ever. :star:
In addition I try to name the best one or two players in my opinion for every possition (*-some of them may be out of possition a bit ... but it's just to get em all in the squad ;) ):
Goalkeeper- Ramallets, Zamora
Right Defender- Ferrer, Puyol
Libero- Koeman and noone else!
Left defender- Migueli, Sergi
Defensive midfielder: Suarez*, Guardiola
Right midfielder: Luis Enrique, Schuster*
Offensive Midfielder: KUBALA, De La Pena
Left Midfielder: Cruyff*, Rivaldo*
Strikers:César, Romario, Kluivert, Stoichkov
hmmm... there are so many left out ... phew I always fail when I try to point out the best of em :s

i can't believe you omitted ronaldo, but i forgive you
after all scoring 34 games in 37 matches can be easy to forget :rolleyes: :D
Oops ... well just like I said ... I always fail when trying to make a history Barça-squad since I gotta leave some of the best out.

Best player to have ever played for Barca: Maradona.
Best player based on performance at Barca: Kubala.

Bier, my man. You've forgot one of the greatest ever played in the world and for Barca, Michael Laudrup! He was one of the best during the Dream Team and I haven't seen somebody other besides Cruyff and Ronaldo make such moves and goals. A pity and pretty stupid of him going to RM. If he had not, he would have been chosen on the best Barca squad ever by the fans, I'm sure!
Just as I already said ... too many great players ... thus I had to pick them for sympathy. I admit it's kinda biased. ;) I never understood why Laudrup moved to Real, same with Figo. :(
By the way of being biased ... I made my decision about the best Barça-player ever, and no ... it's not Bogarde ;) :D ... it's the guy in my avatar. ;)
