AKIS ZIKOS OF AEK ATHENS SIGNED A 3YEAR DEAL WITH MONACO!!
he is a defensive midfielder, and a member of the greek NT- one of the 2 best in his position in greece. a good signing for you.

did they come close the getting relegated??
well i hope they do better, and i hope zikos helps.
there are also rumors that demis nikolaidis, AEK's star player and the best striker in greek football may come to monaco because of problems he has with the way the team is being managed. i hope he doesn't leave he is a brilliant player and his heart beats for this team- but if he leaves for monaco- it will be a huge signing for you and he will help immensely. lazio and celta are also after him- but he may stay

they finished 4th last, 4 points away from relegation.
none of the players were happy with deschamps as coach.
monaco have good players like gallardo, nonda, bierhoff, jugovic, but could'nt get it together.
and plus losing trezeguet, barthez, henry, simone, panucci, can't help either. it was just a couple of years ago they were beating manU in champs league quarter finals, now they just survived being relegated.
it can only get better from here.
