I think Saviola might leave Barca, after receiving lots of criticism that he was not contributing. But i surely hope he stays.

Van Gaal had a great team, he just couldn't use it right.
Cruyff created the fabulous "El Dreram Team" with Laudrup, Koeman, Bakero, Beguiristan and Stoitchkov. If he has not lost all his skills as a coach, after the many years without a coachjob, he could be the perfect man for Barca! Lets hope he joins the club and makes a "El Dream Team II"

I now...but Johan Cruyif is better.

It's a bit difficult to compare the two actually. Also, Cruyff managed for such a short period of time. I don't think he's any better. Even if he is, he just needs to keep his mouth shut.

I think Bianchi is alos exellent and Capello.

BLAUGRANA
05-25-2002, 12:50 AM
I don't like Capello at all. I'm glad they didn't get him. I'm not too familiar with Bianchi. From what i've heard, he's good.

Skualo

cappelo is good man:confused: ..well your opinion...i respct it :D....bianchi is good man 3 times winner of the copa libertadores de america<---- = CL in south america;)

BLAUGRANA

I just think that Capello would be too defensive. Also, I think he's nuts for always leaving Montella on the bench. I'm shocked that Montella's still there much less that he put to pen to paper on a new deal last season.

Bianchi sucks! Capello is one of the best! How can you say such things? Defensive? It shows you dont know him.
He won with Real! Roma too, Milan also,
VG is an jerk and IMO Saviola is over rated.

BLAUGRANA

I don't know Capello quite enough, but I really do respect him even though I didn't want him at Barca. As far as LVG goes, he may not be Mr. Nice Guy, but he gets the job done. He's won a boatload of trophies in the past (he was very successful with Ajax and Barca). Have you read some of the articles i've posted about him (the links to the articles that is?)?

ItalianBoy
05-26-2002, 05:35 AM
No I did not read them, but I might. Thanks.
But LVG also has problem with Rivaldo Kluivert and a bunch of other players and the press hates him!

BLAUGRANA
05-26-2002, 06:04 AM
The press doesn't like him, but that's not that big an issue this time around I think. Not yet anyway. ;) I think the players all respect him. He said that both Rivaldo and Kluivert will be playing for Barca next season and that they are important in his plans. Either way, he's the manager and unless he does something totally crazy, they both need to shut their mouths and do what they're told.

BLAUGRANA
05-26-2002, 06:05 AM
Oh yeah, and read the links to those articles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wasn't van gaal the coach that just brought in his dutch contingent and released some of the home-grow players??

i wonder if players like puyol, xavi, and gabri would make way for players that LVG has in mind like seedorf, van bommel, and hasselbaink:confused:

BLAUGRANA
05-29-2002, 03:17 AM
You're partly correct but mostly mistaken. Many Barca youth players like those you mentioned (Xavi in particular) got their debuts under LVG. Puyol would not make for any other right back in the world at Barca, that's for sure. Gabri may not get too much playing time, but Xavi will.

BLAUGRANA
05-29-2002, 03:18 AM
The way I'd look at it is that LVG buys Dutch as opposed to Spanish. That doesn't mean he doesn't use the youth system. I'd say he relys heavily on it as he did at Ajax. He brought in such non-Dutch players as Dani and Simao.
