Patient Lippi waiting for rivals to slip up
Tuesday 16th April 2002
Juventus coach Marcello Lippi is still utterly convinced that his side can win the Scudetto, despite being third with only three games remaining. "It is so unpredictable and suddenly one of the favourites will make another mistake," he said on Tuesday.
Inter are three points ahead of Lippi's charges at the top of the table with Roma a point behind the leaders.
Lippi, meanwhile, is confident that his side can finish as Scudetto winners. He said on Tuesday: "The last round didn't change anything as far as positions go but I am sure a lot of things will happen between now and the end of the season.
"We will start our final push against Piacenza, who won against Bologna last Sunday, but who still aren't safe.
"Everybody says that there are three more matches to play, but I see it as nine more matches. Three teams are still challenging for the title and nine matches is a lot: everything can happen. All the contenders still have a lot of cards to play."
Lippi is the most stupid creature alive. Just look at the bold txt. Damn sucker. If there were realy nine matches left, then anything could have happen. But there are three.
