MORATTI MAKE A MASSIVE BID FOR ROBERTO CARLOS

15.09.00 - Inter are reported to have inquired over the availability of Real Madrid defender Roberto Carlos. Sources have suggested that Inter president Massimo Moratti has prepared a bid of $US 61 million for the player but this falls well short of the release clause figure in his contract. Carlos played for Inter in 1995 but was sold to his current club Real Madrid.

well i am happy to say that roberto carlos turned inter down he said he wants to end his career in madrid maybe iam not happy but what i really mean is that we dont need him he would be a great addition but we dont need him now all inter need to do is sell sukur he was a waste of money in my opinion and its only a matter of time i think before he is gone

WE NEED CARLOS! we have a weak left back position and maccelari and serena cant do the job. he would be great, and i am sad to hear that he turned inter down. but if sukur does go we should use that money for a left fulback, i personally like Vincent Candela and Bixente Lizarazu in left back

well inter were looking at lizarzu a while back as a possible replacement for georgatos and i would love to have him he wold be nice roberto carlos is good but is he really worth that much money ???

i have nothing but high praise for his play but what makes me mad is that a few weeks befoe leaving he promised moratti that he would remain at inter i would have had no problem had he not promised and left but it really hurt but he was a huge loss
