Ronaldo could make his return to the Inter first team for their Scudetto clash against Roma on March 24.
The Brazilian, who has spent the last three weeks in his homeland in a desperate attempt to regain full fitness for the closing stages of the season, will be back in Italy on Sunday ready to start training with his teammates on Monday.
Ronaldo’s Press secretary Rodrigo Paiva believes that the forward will be available for selection for the game against the current Italian champions.
While his physiotherapist Nilton Petrone has expressed his delight at the former Barcelona player’s current physical condition.
"He’s recovering excellently," said Petrone. "So well in fact that he’s already started sprinting the 100 metres with really good results."
Ronaldo has been suffering from numerous muscle problems since his return to the side from major knee injury last October.
