I am a supporter of Bury Football Club who play in the Second Division in England. Due to a catalogue of errors we are now just two weeks away from extinction. We have been placed into administration and now have less than two weeks to raise £400,000. If the administrators cannot satisfy the courts demands that this figure is reached, THEN BURY FOOTBALL CLUB WILL FOLD. It is as simple as that. The club has less than two weeks to survive.
One fund raising idea that the club have come up with is for supporters to purchase a seat at Gigg Lane. We have 12,000 seats that are now up for sale. If you buy a seat, then your name will be placed on that seat. It is now imperative that we sell all these seats and move the club forward.
If you cannot help us financially then please visit our website at www.buryfc.co.uk as we are involved in a deal whereby we receive money based on the number of people using our website.
Please help, these are desperate times.
Thanks

Simon

Thank you for logging on to the website. We are in the High Court on Friday but I will let you know if we have done enough to survive.
Thanks again

Thanks to you both for your help. We are back in court again on Friday and it looks like we may have done enough to survive. A bid has been put together and part of the deal is that the supporters get 10% of the shares in the club and a seat on the board of directors in recognition of the amount of money we raised to save the club. It is with the help of people like yourselves that it seems hopeful that, as from Friday, we will once again be able to function as a football league club. It has been a tough time for us all but it seems that all the effort will be rewarded. Thanks and I hope to see you at Gigg Lane at some time in the future.
