ROMA are believed to be continuing their interest in Ajax's striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, something the Swedish striker is obviously delighted with.
The Italian side were reported to be making the former Malmo star their top target during the winter transfer market, only for them to make no bid.
Ibrahimovic first came to prominence in Malmo before making a £5 million move to Ajax and it now seems that the European elite are sniffing around the player.
"It's a big and imortant club and it would be a honnour to be the successor to a champion like Batistuta," said Ibrahimovic.
Speaking to RAI, he added: "If Roma want me, I am ready.
"I am happy at Ajax, but we will see what happens in the future."
Apparently Ibrahimovic was close to joining Roma before his eventual move to Ajax and now the Italians will have to pay double what the Dutch team did for his services.
