Zidane worth the Cash?

Yeah we know Zidane is a great team player, but is he worth 130million aus dollar.

Now Real are aiming for Andriy Shevchenko of Milan, but this time Real don't need to spent a cent. Luis Figo is what Milan wants. I doubt it very much that the transfer is going ahead

Zidane has proven to be well worth the money. I say this not just because his play has been so very good in recent months, but because his coming here has actually made Real Madrid PROFIT. That's right, ever since Zidane came on board, the team's winnings have skyrocketed, so that it's not in debt anymore. Not a shabby investment, I'd say. :)

I heard about the money thing, still its not cuz of Zidanes playing, but of the sellign of shirt. We are saying if he worth the money as far as soccer. I think not. No one is worth that much, especially at 30.

Well, if you want to get technical, I think clubs in general pay WAAAY too much money for most elite soccer players. But anyway, my point was that from a financial point of view, Zidane worked out beautifully for Real Madrid.

In terms of just soccer, well, he had a hard time adjusting at first, but he's been playing just great for quite a while, so it's hard to ask more from him in that sense. Zidane certainly been more to his club for the $65M they paid for him than, say, Mendieta was to Lazio for the money they paid for *him*.

I dont think that Zidane reaches half of his potential.
He is too lazy, particularly in games when Madrid need him most. I dont doubt he has the skill and intelligence, but I feel that he just doesnt use his skills to the max of his potential. And I dont think that its that he LOOKS Lazy. You watch when MAdrid lose the ball he trots around and doesnt give two sh*ts. You watch Beckham or Giggs do the same thing (not saying that they are better!) and they break their holes getting back.
Personally I think that FIgo is much more worth the money and if I had a choice (taking the age factor out of discussion) I would pick Figo anyday. He has great skill but also shows the desire, determination and "unlaziness" to defend as well as attack. He is as they say, not afraid to get his shorts dirty. Did anybody see his deadly tackle back against BAyern? Brilliant and a true players player.

Far from it.
He is a great player but not on the same level of the Ronaldo's or Cruyff's.
And yes he did score a great goal against Barca. My arguements arent that he is not good enough on the big stage or that he doesnt perform when needed. I argue that he doesnt play to the peak of his potential. He has the skill to be one of the greats, but he still doesnt put the effort in to reach the full potential.
Im sure that there are many who know Figo and how skillful he is, but they also know how hard he works for Madrid, he combines skill with workrate, something that Zidane seriously lacks. He scored that goal against Barca with irresistable ease, but thats just it, its all so easy for him and he doesnt do any more then he has to.

i know that zidane is a good player and if they win the champions league with zidane on it's worth buying him and who knows shevchenko might go to real but then again figo (that cost $100 million) is in the deal

I can´t believe the cr@p I´m hearing.

His goal in the CL final against Leverkusen was worth every euro the club spent. As for his inability in big games; France 98, and CL final - you can´t get bigger than that. Its precisely in the big games where Zidane makes his presence felt.
