14. Start after losing several high quality players, the first division club, who were struggling to beat Ham-Kam last season, is severly weakened. With this team I can't see how Start can be any better than Aalesund, and definelty not good enough to win the first division. It's a shame that this club, that I like quite a lot, who has many supporters, a interesting way of playing, who has a big city behind them in a part fo the country that hasn't got any other big teams(Southern Norway), and who is the 1st divisions representatives in the Tippeliga is doing so badly. If nothing changes, they are in trouble. If Nyan leaves, the club will have lost all their stars.
Lost Ohr, lost Ottoson, lost Dahlum, lost Bergersen, lost Pedersen (he was never there), (will lose Nyan?)
13. Bryne Many Swedes, and were quite successful at the end of last season and especially in the cup. Can they do it again? Probably not. Their new signing(s), will probably not be a big success, and the team will have trouble staying up. Dejan Pavlovic, he is just one player, but if he can keep his form from last season, he together with the rest of the team might save them again.
Got Paulsson
12 Moss What can Erik Brakstad do? He does have many plans for the club, but doesn't seem to have brought in any new top players. Will Wehrman finally shine? A bad season, but will just skin into the qualification, where they might lose. Bad economy, bad spectators, lost their talented coach, will Brakstad resign again? I wouldn't mind seeing them get relegated at all.
Got Lillebakk
11. Bodø/Glimt Seems weakened, if they keep and play with Berg and get Råstad though, that will change everything, and put them closer to the middle of the table...will probably know more about this closer to the season. Arguing with players, but have just been saved financially, and won't get in financial trouble this season. If Ludvigsen leaves though, the money will go to the saviours and not the club.
(got Råstad?), Ludvigsen(might leave?), (lost Berg?)
10. Sogndal Quite successfull last season, can't see why they won't be good this year either. With Øren back in form they can beat any team, but won't be able to get a large series of wins in a row. Talent farm, but have problems bringing players to the top level themselves, often they must leave the club to get to their best.
Same players as last season?
9. Odd Grenland Crisis club nr 1 this winter, things seem to be going bad at Odd, if they don't straighten it up soon, some seriously bad results might come. The squad seems weakened, the ocahc is getting less and less popular, and the fans are getting moody and irritated. Can only get worse than last season.
Lost Bo Andersen, Pedersen and Borgersen, got BI Johnsen,
8. VIF Has the quality to beat the bottom teams, The oslo East team will probably fight in the bottom half. Were good but not dominating in the 1st division last year. Is strenghtened, and definetly not weakened. Rekdal and the boys won't get relegated this year, and I don't think they will get into a major crisis this season, but you never know with VIF.
Bought Ohr
7. Lyn It's smelling like success at Oslo West this season. Strenghtened squad, but lost their star coach....hard to predict, will they get a new coach?. The most uncertain team, will they play like a team? Lyn can always get relegated, and can seldom get on top, but they seem even more ambitious than before, and Oslo is waiting for it.
(lost Løvvik?), got Lustü, Berntsen and Hanssen, lost coach Baxter, (Runar Berg?), got Lagerlöf
6. Stabæk Still has a strong squad, able to fight for the gold, or at least the silver. Loss of ambition, and controversial coach will put them out of the very top though. Andresen will dominate, but has gotten more frustrated it seems, and his form and mood will mean a lot for their season.
Lost Fjørtoft and Svindal Larsen,
5. Brann Will they lose players? If not, they can do anything, if they do a 5th place is more than what they can ask for, too uncertain about Brann to know. I can't see Brann getting lower than 6th, so 5th place is negative prediction(sorry Jinxter), but I am confident that thing might look different in March/April and that I will predict them higher then, still this is how it looks now.
Got Musæus, lost Samuelsson and Razanauskas, (might lose Helstad?), (will lose Kvisvik at the end of the season, will he play?), got Johnsson
4. Molde Seems to have something going, maybe I am wrong here. The pre season will prove or disprove a lot of it though. Seems strenghtened if they keep Berg Hestad, no crisis going on, and the coach has gotten used to the club now.
Eddie Gustafsson, lost Lillebakk, new Icelandic striker
(name?), (Berg Hestad to Leicester? probably not)
3. Lillestrøm Keep Powel and the team is much the same, can't see the getting relegated, although you never know where you have them. Will the other teams figure them out? I don't know, probably LSK will have another good season, and then 2003 can get really bad with the coach and many players leaving, hard to say though.
Lost Moen, (Powell?) got Kippe,
2. Viking Seems similar to last season. Not weakened considerably, and Benny is hungry for more. The cup champions look like they are going into a strong season. But I need to look at them in the pre season first.
Lost Berre, got Konteff
1. Rosenborg Still on top. The other teams have almost gotten weakened this season, and won't be able to beat RBK this year. Things still might be changing though, RBK needs to do some things in front of 2003, and Viking, Brann and Molde will probably striker back hard next season. I know I am talking future here, but RBK just seem to strong at the moment.
Lost Rushfeldt, lost Winsnes
