17 July 2001 (Teamtalk) -- FK Sloga Jugomagnat coach Ekrem Maglajlija has some major problems in selecting his team for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Kaunas.
Sloga face an uphill battle to reach the next stage after being held 0-0 in the home leg of their first qualifying round tie in Skopje last week.
Striker Goran Stankoski, goalkeeper Jane Nikoloski and defender Zoran Jovanoski have all been ruled out of the return game through injury.
Maglajlija is also without the services of long-term casualties Saso Zdravevski and Zoran Sterjovski, who have both been absent for the last two months.
Striker Argend Beciri recently signed a deal with Dinamo Moscow, and his absence was clearly felt by the team in the first leg.
"I have two problems now. What tactics to play to get a positive result and how to compose a team without six players from the first-team squad," Maglajlija said.
"But life goes on and I hope that everybody will give their maximum to secure a good result."
Striker Arben Nuhiji is hopeful of a positive outcome, although he will probably be alone up front with Stankoski missing from the attack.
"Kaunas will be very offensive, so I think that we will play with one striker. But if the coach decides to play with two strikers I would like to play together with my brother Ardijan," Nuhiji said.
Gogo Jovcev will replace Nikoloski in goal. "I hope that Jovcev has a good game," Nikoloski said.
"My injury is pretty bad. I have to rest and take it easy on the exercise in order to be fit again in a month when the championships will start."
