Deportivo La Coruna striker Diego Tristan admits he is in awe of Real Madrid's stars ahead of the top-of-the-table clash at the Bernabeu.

"I think Zidane is the best in the world. I like Figo as well, however Raul is still the best for me. He always displays a unique performance," Tristan declared.

Depor lead the champions by a point as La Liga resumes after the festive period – but Tristan admits it will be tough going in the Spanish capital.

"We beat Manchester United and Barcelona on their home grounds," the striker told sports daily Marca. "But it is going to be harder in Madrid."

Florian Maurice is set to return for Celta Vigo as the high-flying Galicians entertain Rayo Vallecano at the Balaidos on Saturday.

The French forward has yet to regain full fitness but with the exit of both Ivan Kaviedes and Benni McCarthy to Portugal, coach Victor Fernandez is set to start with the former Marseille forward.

"The injury has basically cleared up," said Maurice. "But with the mid-season break I have not been able to get my fitness back as quickly as I would have liked.

"I know that in France there are rumours, but my priority has always been to Celta Vigo and I am not interested in going anywhere else."

Spain midfielder Guillermo Amor is refusing to look at the league table until Villarreal break their run of four games without a victory.

"Everything is so tight that looking at the table only complicates things for us even further," he explained.

The Castellon-based side take on Seville and Amor is confident that Villarreal can put an end to their dismal pre-Christmas form.

"I think that this will be the first match in a series that will turn the fortunes of this team around," he said.

"I don't even consider losing to Sevilla. This month is going to be crucial as the league begins to sort itself out and clubs take up positions for the run-in.

"We can take ourselves upwards and into the European places with a couple of wins, but if we lose then we could find ourselves battling against relegation."

Villarreal's new signing, Juan Antonio Pizzi, is set to make his debut and Amor is looking forward to playing alongside his former Barcelona team-mate.

"He is a good player who has demonstrated that he can score goals at every club he has played with," he declared. "I really believe that he will give the whole side a boost."

Seville are without the striking talents of Nicolas Olivera, but Mario Gutierrez is back after three months on the sidelines, while Pablo Alfaro returns to the defence after suspension.

Real Sociedad also travel to Las Palmas on Saturday
