Washington is definitely world-class, he's as good as Jardel on the air AND he has superior on-the-ball skills. He's playing at a smaller club, Ponte Preta, and that's IMO the main reason he isn't a National Team regular (I didn't say "starter", though I could see a Ronaldo-Washington duo easily; I said "regular").

Ponte Preta reached last year's Brazilian Championship quarterfinals mainly due to Washington and defensive midfielder Mineiro, their two finest players. Neither will stay at Ponte for long. ;)

When this guy goes to Europe, he's going to really turn some heads, guys. He's quality material all the way.

Actually I believe Washington is his first name, believe it or not. :D Hey, we have all kinds of names here. This place is the size of a continent, guys. Why, Brazil is way bigger than Oceania! Some of our states are the size of European countries.

Example: Barcelona's Fabio Rochembach was born in the deep south, where the German colonization was very intense, for instance; while Rivaldo was born in the northeast, where there was a lot of cross-breeding between races.

Huge country, all sorts of people. I loooove it!

Here have some violence, typical from the third world, but the most of violence is in the favelas, that is so far from the beaches and touristics places. Here we have italians(the most), germans,spanishs,frenchs,russians...etc

It all depends on where you're going; as I said, it's the size of a continent.

Curitiba (capital of Parana) is a peaceful city, for example, organized and nice, with a lot of German and Italian immigrants and their families. But the climate is colder, so no beaches over there.

São Paulo is the second or third biggest city in the world, but only a madman would go there for tourism; it's noisy, polluted, full of traffic jams and big-city violence. Good for business though.

Rio de Janeiro is a beautiful city, and I suppose I'm not entirely independent to describe it; it's my town. We have lovely beaches, gorgeous women (which of course don't interest you as you're married, ahem) and a superb nature; the downsides are... hummm... well, we have violence like most big cities have (but not more than NY or London for instance). Maybe some other Brazilian can remember some other bad things about Rio - I'm stuck. ;)

The really violent parts are the more rural areas, you see. If you go to some of the more distant beach resorts like Porto Seguro (very hot, very romantic, very sexy) you won't be going to big cities; meaning generally there's more of a "small-town" feel, but also less modern conforts available. I might suggest Fortaleza (capital of Ceara) as a good compromise, with lovely beaches and a nice town with good movie theathers.

I don't know, man - I recommend Brazil, but I don't know what you're looking for. Rio and São Paulo have the best cultural life, but in Belo Horizonte you'd have a calmer city with very good cultural options. If you're looking for beaches, go for Fortaleza.

Hope that helped! :)
