Due to the ever-improving quality of our youth setup and recent successes (such as the u15 trophy that we just won this weekend), I have decided to make a news and information thread for our various youth teams and players.

It'll be a work in progress, but I want to reserve the first few posts in this thread for indexing/updating purposes. The posts afterwards will be news-related.

Our u15 team has won the Nike Premier Cup (u15 level). They beat Fenerbahce in the final 3-0, getting revenge for 3-1 loss the league championship final loss a week before. The goals came from Enes Unal, Utku Turk, and Ekrem. Our team will represent Turkey in the European tournament in Poland that will take place on May 3-6.

What an awkward picture :howler:, remember this was taken the day after Ibrahim Yazici said that he doesn't trust in the TFF. You can probably guess why.

That Enes Unal kid is looking pretty promising, this is the kid that scored 58 goals in 45 games in all competitions. He also scored our only goal in the match we lost previously to Fener's u15 team. He seems very developed for his age, might be another Batuhan situation where his physique is just too much to handle for the other less-developed players.

We have another striker in our u17 team, Batuhan Altintas who is doing well for our u17 team as well as the u17 NT. The trend of our youth system churning out promising strikers continues I suppose. We have Sercan (90), Muhammet Demir (92), Okan Deniz (94), Batuhan Altintas (96), and Enes Unal (97).

Okay I'll admit it, I've done a piss poor job updating this since I created this thread. I'll tentatively try to update all the information by the end of this weekend.

Quick updates:

-The same u15 team that wont he Nike Premier Cup for Turkey went to the European tournament and won there as well. They will represent Europe in the World finals of this tournament, hopefully they can win it. :thumbsup:

-The A2 team finished 4th in the playoffs after a loss to Sivas in the 3rd place game 0-2.

-The u17 team won the Turkish Academy league for that age group by beating Fenerbahce 3-1 in the final. Mustafa Acun, Batuhan Altintas, and Furkan Soyal scored our goals while Birolcan Guleren scored Fener's goal.

-Furkan Soyal signed a professional contract with the club that will run until 2014. He and Batuhan Altintas will be training with the A team in the summer camp.

Okay, well haven't got around to doing what I said I was going to do (:(). But, here's some good news: We've signed 5 players from the u17 championship team to 3 year professional deals (including Furkan Soyalp who I mentioned earlier, misspelled previously).

Me too man, me too. He hasn't promoted/played anyone regularly from the youth team outside of Okan Deniz, and that was just for a few SF matches that he didn't care about anyway.

U16 Milli Takımı’nın 5 ve 7 Kasım tarihlerinde Almanya ile İzmir’de oynayacağı hazırlık maçlarının aday kadrosuna Bursaspor’dan 7 futbolcunun davet edildiği bildirildi.

Kulübün internet sitesinden yapılan açıklamada, “Teknik Direktör Hakan Tecimer yönetimindeki U16 Milli Takımının aday kadrosuna takımımızdan Enes Ünal, Furkan Emre Ünver, Ertuğrul Ersoy, Mehmet Zeki Çelik, Onur Muhammet Parlar, Berke Yılmaz ve Enbiya Altun davet edildi.

Aday kadroya davet edilen 1997 doğumlu oyuncular 3 Kasım 2012 Cumartesi günü saat 12.00’de, İstanbul Courtyard by Marriott Airport Otel’de toplanacak. Aynı gün İzmir’e geçecek olan futbolcular, 7 Kasım tarihine kadar Kaya Prestige Otel’de konaklayacak. Genç Milliler hazırlıklarını Buca Kaynaklar sahasında yapacak.

Absolutely fantastic! These guys are part of the same team that qualified and went to the 2012 ManU Nike Premier Cup finals. I think we have a pretty good group of players coming through. The 7 players for the u16 team is a record for us I believe. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come. :thumbsup:
