I don't think Mexico will play for the draw. They will try to attack because they don't want Argentina in the Round of 16. However they will be getting updates from the France game, and if France will be leading by 4 or more goals, they will just try to kill the game for a draw to make sure they don't concede. Uruguay won't be aggressive.

Yup. They will play conservative but at the same time going for the win with counter attacks.

I say Mexico will go for the win in this game it will be about who wants it more badly Uruguay or Mexico. So it will be a close game IMO.

Honestly, if I were Mexican, I'd consider a safe game even if I have to face Argentina.
Whoever plays an attacking game would have to concede some space to be attacked as well, or at least expose themselves to some frightening counters.
So the question is how much you want to avoid Argentina, because losing by 1 or 2 goals, and France winning by 2 or 3 goals (which is far from being impossible) would be a problem.
Same thing for Uruguay of course, if we go crazy we can lose as well. The difference is we are a little bit safer with an extra goal.
IMHO, they both should take the ticket to the next round, as I've seen bigger "miracles" than something like France scoring 3 or 4 goals to SA.

not really not only if they attack using a counter method and use a long ball game to attack while leaving at least 3 or 4 defending players back. I think Mexico would have a chance to score and still be able to stop Uruguay from scoring.

Well it depends on a lot of factors. If we do indeed use Guardado we are going to see less of him on the defensive part of the game. With Juarez, the kid is versatile and helps out defensively, he's basically like Torrado but with a more attacking mentality.

Born2xl, what you have is a lot of faith! ;)
Anyway you have good reasons to trust, as well as we do. I was just trying to say that it's not short of being risky.
But in the case Javier Aguirre thinks like you do, we'll enjoy a very exciting game for sure.

Well I'm pretty sure Uruguay will be comfortable with the tie, making them number one in group A. But a tie for Mexico will put us second in group A, setting up an Argentina vs. Mexico rematch in the round of 16. Most Mexicans still have that vivid moment pierced in their heads, that of Maxi Rodriguez scoring that beautiful goal in extra time. We don't want that, we rather face South Korea or Greece in the second round.

I think each team will try to win the group and have the chance to advance in the WC.

I do have a lot of faih you need it with Mexico.

This. but for the reason that guardado not helping out so much defensively like Juarez does is why I think Salcido will stay back more or you will be right and Aguirre will play Castro instead.

I think Mexico will come out strong and score early. then back off a bit and play defensively. I say 2-1 Mexico.

Nope, ain't gonna happen. These two teams just need to draw so this will be the most, dull, boring unadventurous game of the World Cup so far. Neither of them will want to take chances.

I'd love to see South Africa spank France though.

Fantastic - wish I'd put money on this. Mexico and Uruguay have had 1 shot on target in the first half and South Africa pumping the Frogs 2-0 before half-time!

? so what if they have had one shot on target ea and actually Uruguay has had 3 on target with them taking 10 shots and Mexico one on target with them taking maybe 4 so obviously they are going for the win. Both teams are.

Ah, that's cheating. Uruguay weren't supposed to score. Mexico will be really ticked off.
