Oct 01 = 716 points 9th Position

Bearing in mind that you lose points for defeats and you get more points for the quality of games you play in (opposition + W.C matches). You lose even more points losing at home (eng v Holland)
How did England do so well in the points system??
I put Ireland in because they got 47 more points then Argentina with 1 more win!!! Also how did England get so close to Ireland when only 6 of their games were W.C matches? I think that Argentina should of gotten more points and England less..
