I know it is an old story but I read today about Roy Keane after he was sent home from training camp prior to the 2002 WC.
An Irish fan was spotted wearing a t shirt which read "Two Great Cork Leaders Shot in the Back" underneath a photo of Keane in full flight and Michael Collins in uniform.
I obviously have no affiliation to the activities of Collins but find the wit darkly amusing.
