Since Leonardo is not going to coach Milan after this season, we need to find the man capable of coaching Milan to its best. In my honest opinion even Guus Hindink would be able to bring much success to this horrible Milan team however my nominations would have to be:
Lippi
Marco van Bastan
Carlo (if he decides to leave Chelsea)

Van Basten is keeping quiet over the Milan job link...
Marco Van Basten is biding his time over the Milan job link, claiming he will only speak about it at the end of the season.
"At the moment I cannot say anything, I don't think now is the right time to speak about these things," he told Telelombardia when asked whether the Rossoneri had made an approach for him.
"Milan are still playing in the league. No-one has been in contact with me even though I admit that it's nice that we are speaking about it.
"In any case I have only just arrived in Milan, and I don't think now is the time to speak."
Van Basten is in Milan because of a commitment he has at the Pro Am Vialli and Mauro Golf Cup on Monday.
He has been tipped as one of the candidates to replace current boss Leonardo who is expected to relinquish his duties at the end of the season.
Leonardo did not go into details in relation to his future at the club when prompted during his press conference earlier, preferring to speak about the league run-in.
"I will only think about my future when Milan have secured third place," he told reporters at Milanello.

Anci would probably not leave for Juve and if Chelsea win the league tomorrow he is definitely not leaving Chelsea.
Van Basten would rather go to Milan.
Lippi, I'm pretty sure, is retiring.

Looks like Van Basten is the only decent target we have yet.

I think Van basten would be a great choice since he's never trained italian team. It might be a great start for milan..

Massimiliano Allegri has been tipped by Galliani, however Berlusconi has suggested that from within Milan ranks either Filippo Galli or Mauro Tasotti could take over.

No coach in the world can fix the current milan, they need new players :tsk: I hope Leo doesn't leave :( he did very well this season.

He's gone mate. Rumors are that he might take over the Brazil set up if Dunga goes to Fiorentina. No coach would stay after what Berlusconi said about him. Berlu should just put money into the team and shut his mouth about how it's coached...that's why you have coaches!

I read that Milan might have a deal with a russian company because Berlusconi has close relations with Putin...

Maldini backs Allegri at AC Milan
Milan legend Paolo Maldini has given Massimiliano Allegri his backing to replace Leonardo at San Siro this summer.
Allegri apparently reached an agreement with Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani at the weekend to take the top job.
He has yet to extricate himself from Cagliari who still have him under contract, but a deal is expected to be concluded by early next week.
When asked for his reaction to Allegri's possible appointment, Maldini said: “I like it a lot. I like the style of play his teams express. Let's say that he is linked to Milan's past.
“It is still not official, though.”
Maldini then gave his assessment of Italy's chances at this summer's World Cup in South Africa.
“In the beginning when you talk about the national team there is always a section of supporters who are against it.
“However, going forward the percentage of those who jump on the bandwagon of the winner increases.
“Italy are solid and above all a team. The strikers have all the skills to drag this team forward. Di Natale has scored spectacular goals this year.”
Finally, Maldini was asked to reveal his favourites for the World Cup.
“Aside from Italy, Spain and England have shown themselves to be 'teams'. Then there is always Brazil,” he concluded.

I would take him he is a young italian coach who could be a good on for the future. I think he should be allowed in Milan although it looks like a done deal. ;)

Allegri 'is free to join AC Milan'
Milan can officially sign Massimiliano Allegri after Cagliari promised to release him from his contract. “He is free to go.”
The new Coach has been decided for some time, but is still in a legal battle with the Sardinians after he was fired towards the end of the season.
“I spoke to Vice-President Adriano Galliani today and there are no problems,” assured Cagliari patron Massimo Cellino.
“I keep my word and the fact we are presenting Pierpaolo Bisoli to the media effectively means Allegri is free to go to Milan.
“I have handed everything over to director general Marroccu, who is negotiating with Allegri to rescind the contract.”
Cagliari have appointed new boss Bisoli, who helped Cesena to a shock promotion last month.
There were reports that the hold-up was because Cagliari were trying to take back some of the performance-related bonuses promised to Allegri.
“It is absurd to think I don’t want to give him back pay. I am obliged to pay everyone’s wages and I will pay to the last Euro,” insisted President Cellino.

Good replacement for Leo

Allegri has been hired for the AC Milan job. I say its not bad, but coaches are not coaches with Berlusconi still running around.

Even if it's a BIG PLEASURE see how milan is poor in these years.. I hav to say that Berlusconi HAS TO SELL MILAN. He doesn't want to spend money for this club, he doesn't let the coach do his job [Leonardo was an EXCELLENT coach...I mean, look at Milan players, 3rd place is a great result for them...btw Berlusconi didn't like leo's job...coz in his opinion "if he was milan's coach he would hav won the league title"... O.O]... well what I was saying???
Oh yes...If he respects Milan fans he should sell. Nobody will forget what he did for this club..but they need a change. Coz now they're really ridiculous...
It's funny to see how things change here in Milano... "Today's Inter is Yesterday Milan, and today Milan is yesterday inter"
btw...WE ARE MILANO! :D
cheers from an Inter supporter :P

I absolutely do not think berlusconi should sell Milan. The reason for my feelings is there isn't quite someone that could take over and do as well as he has. Yes, he has spent more in the past, but many of the investments we see right now are the smart ones. Next season even more investments will take place when contracts expire. Leonardo was an average coach, and he did make some glaring mistakes (including playing Mancini over Adiyiah).
I know that Allegri will be different, and will employ youth players more, including with the calculated, smart investments we have already made.

However I do believe this team needs at least one more fullback and to ship Pirlo off. Pirlo hasn't played like Pirlo for a long time and last season he was disappointing. Xavi at Barcelona who is only one year younger then Andrea is so much more hungry! The team needs some more changes, although I think our striker line is very good. I would just get rid of Boriello and put in Dzeko but that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Pirlo had one of the best completed passes record last season, and the only reason he did not play up to par (with mostly his set piece delivery) was because of the players next to him. Flamini and Boateng should be able to help cover him more. Pirlo is still a very vital important player to our team, and should remain. I like Borriello, but Dzeko is just a dream.
I was so confident last summer we would get Dzeko, but now... I'm not so confident.
A(Bosancero)

I wish Dzeko left last summer as well, now he is stuck in Wolfsburg the nation's pride stuck in a shepherd club. He could have left the club last season but he extended his contract... idiot.

08-16-2010, 06:29 AM
Yeah just go through my posting history. I'm sure you remember. I was so eager to see him move... but... extending his contract with Wolfsburg... huge mistake. Wolfsburg won the German title once, and then fell to 8th place the next season.
Wolfsburg couldn't even make the Europa League cup...

He would have been a shevachenko type of player in Milan! That's how much potential he has! It really is a pity seeing all that talent go to waste in Wolfsburg but he is only 24.

u're the first Milan fan that says this thing.
Every Milan (italian) supporter is starting to hate Berlusconi. He was a desaparecido during this season...in difficult times supporters need their president to be with them, to be near the team. And he wasnt. He just made ridiculous statements and nothing more.

I'm sorry but how are you in any position to talk about Milan? You're an Inter supporter. So you're supporting something that isn't Italian. Berlusconi is with us, and he is making appropriate investments. I don't get your viewpoint, and just consider you trolling. Moratti has done next to nothing to replace your aging players, and you have far more debt. I'd be concerned and angry when Balotelli is going to get replaced with a 29 year old Juventus reject.
After winning your treble, you'll come down to earth and win absolutely nothing.
I'm the first Milan fan that says that? That's just a horrible attempt at trolling and it's failing hard. MANY Milan fans (Italian ones too) AGREE WITH ME. How do I know? I talk with many! Stop assuming.
Who is this guy? Really? Such arrogance in my opinion. Get off your high horse.

I honestly think that Berlusconi could do much more, I mean this Milan team we have right now I believe will take second in the Serie A tops. We haven't won a title since 2007, and we haven't won in Italy since 2003/2004 season. I think its time to wake up and get a bunch of players together fighting for that Scuetto.
I think Milan fans have waited long enough, I mean we could easily get ourselves out of debt just like that, we are 6th best club in the world in terms of revenue.

We need to let some contracts expire and then do investments. The following season a lot of contracts will expire, so more investments will take place. People need to remind the late 1990s were far more difficult than anything we are enduring now.

That I highly doubt. You only talk incoherence and inaccuracy. The problem with you being an Inter supporter strikes at your objectivity. You aren't objective to discuss matters involving Milan, which have invested greatly towards their future. Boateng has arrived, and we will buy his contract out if he does well... fail safe!
