Qualifier Predictions

Anybody care to give their predictions on this Weds and thursdays Play-offs , well heres mine-

Iran 1-1 Ireland (Ire 3-1 agg)


Turkey 1v0 Austria (Tur 2-0)

Romania 2 v 2 Slovenia (Slov 4-3)

Germany 2v1 Ukraine (Ger 3-2)

Czech Republic 2v0 Belgium (Cze 2-1)

I think that Slovenia is a long shot , but they did good to qualify in a tough enough group compared to Romania's (bar Italy of course) and I think that that will stand to them . if romania qualify , England fans and country will be sweating it for the draw!!!

Ireland 2 - 0 Iran (Ireland advance)
Turkey 1-0 Austria (Turkey advance)
Romania 2-1 Slovenia (Romania advance)
Germany 2-2 Ukraine (Germany advance on away goals)
Czech Republic 1-1 Belgium (Czech Republic advance in shoot-out)

same with turkey.

romania - slovenia ... i dunno about this one. i'll say romania cos they're the home team.

i hope ukraine can beat germany. it'd be good to see shevchenko in the WC, rather than the boring germans.

and i hope belgium can advance as well. nedved and repka don't deserve to be in a WC. :boo:

Well here goes:

Iran 0-1 Ireland (0-3)
Turkey 3-1 Austria (4-1)
Romania 1-1 Slovenia (2-3)
Germany 2-1 Ukraine (3-2)
Czech Republic 3-0 Belgium (3-1)


Ireland, Turkey and the Czech Republic are clear favourites to me, Germany in my opinion will make it after a tough battle with the Ukrainians and Romania-Slovenia, well it's going to be a tough one to predict.

thsi is not a pot at you but if it was to be 2-2 in Germany wouldnt that mean that the Ukraine would go through?I presume you thought that the match is in Ukraine. Dont worry , I didnt know that Yugoslavia were out and said that they should be a higher seed then England , in the tournament! ;)
