Beckham tears achilles tendon

According to this BBC article (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/europe/8567353.stm) David Beckham has torn his left achilles tendon.
If true that is him definitely out of the World Cup and could mean the end of his career. It owuld be a sad way to go. Guess we just have to wait for confirmation.

Sad for him :sad: I don't think he fits well with Milan but England would love a leader like him, and I like him as a person. He looks like a really good guy, I wish him the best in the future.

15 years ago it might have been career ending ie; Van Basten, but now a days surgery and rehabilitation have come leaps and bounds. He may not likely be back for the World Cup and may not play for Milan again, but his Galaxy days are likely not over, or even a move back to Europe again not entirely done. Time will tell...no official statement has been released yet.
