unbelievable match!!! what a second half, these are the great games cl can offer us. If Milan were to play like they just did and like against rioma, they could actually end up having a decent season.
Pato is on fire!!!! Ref was awful! Dhino was againt very decent and milan start to shape up.
Has leonardo found his way? Two games cant tell, but its a very promising start to a turn over!
Bravo to milan!

Ronaldinho was brutal. He did play better in the 2nd half, but still was weak. Didn't fight for the ball, made a bunch of mistakes and did not help the defence.
Overall a good performance from Milan in the 2nd half. Pirlo's goal gave them life.

Man Utd manager Sir Alex Ferguson has lavished praise on striker Wayne Rooney for his performance against continental heavyweights AC Milan in the Champions League.
The two clubs met at the San Siro on Tuesday night, the Premier League club initially going a goal down before Paul Scholes levelled matters in the first half.
The second period saw the Scouse striker hit sensational form, bagging a brace to ensure victory before a late strike from Clarence Seedorf kept the Rossoneri in with a shout for the all-important second leg at Old Trafford.
Following the game, Ferguson pointed out that the ageing back-line of the Serie A giants could not cope with Rooney's "devastating" form.
"His second-half performance tonight carried on the form Wayne has been showing recently," he said, according to The Press Association.
"He is in absolutely devastating form. They could not handle him. They just could not handle him in the second half. I thought he was marvellous."
The two goals at the San Siro took the former Everton hitman's tally to 25 for the season, and the gaffer has added weight to the statistics pinning him as one of the best players in the world at the moment.
"There has been an improvement in his game over the last two months," said Ferguson.
"Confidence has a lot to do with that but it's also his ability as a player.
"As I've said about him on a number of occasions, what he has to do is improve his goal scoring. That is what he is doing now.
"When you look at the way he is performing at the moment he must be regarded amongst those players at the highest level."
Manchester United will play Milan in the reverse fixture on March 10 at Old Trafford.

I read on other forums that they want Berlusconi to sell the club which I think is going to depend on if he spends this summer, if he won't sell the damn club. Milan needs reviving right now in their current position, and the only way out in this situation is to do what the EPL and La Liga do:
A) Buy Talented New Players as well as sell useless ones.
B) Develop Youth.
C) Sell the club when in bankruptcy :p

As soon as Seedorf was inserted there was more action up the middle. I was saying that Leonardo needed to wake up and not succumb to the pressure of replacing Seedorf with Beckham, which has been a failure to date, but now with Becks injured (speculation is that this is an achilles injury) I suppose it won't be an issue any longer.
About the Berlusconi issue, I read he won't sell...and now with Juve building their own stadium, I can't imagine that Milan will be far behind especially with Galliani making the claim that with their own stadium and the extra $100,000 Euro per season, Milan can easily compete with the top clubs by bolstering their squads with off season purchases.
Serie A is really behind in that aspect. I'm sure Juve will open up the flood gates after showing how essential owning your own stadium is.
A(Bosancero)
03-14-2010, 11:05 PM
That will be a large burden for Juventus the stadium however, I would much rather them play in Turin, and have money for players rather then make a new stadium and not have money for players.

03-14-2010, 11:15 PM
It's the other way around AB, teams do not currently earn revenue from the Stadium, the communale does, and that lost revenue can therefore not go towards player purchases. Juve's new stadium is going to bring in more revenue, and as Galliani has already pointed out, if Milan had their own and kept the revenues from sales, they could still be competitive in Europe without needing handouts from Berlusconi.
The Serie A is still one of the few leagues not operating in debt. They're even more fiscally sound than the BL at the moment, and the owners are not wanting to inject their own cash into the teams to make them top competitors anymore, especially with the Fair Play initiative around the corner which is going to correct the problem in the first place. It's a season or two away, and then the team that makes the best purchases, and has the best youth development will be most competitive. If that 6+5 comes around the corner too, it will put an end to buying championships altogether.

True but the price of a Stadium right now of that quality is very high, I would love Milan to have its own stadium, it shows a sense of responsibility, and independence from the club. But you are correct with the fact that Serie A clubs are not in debt currently, and I also can't wait for the 6+5 rule to come out as well, this will help E.E. clubs out that I love and cherish.
Football will change for the better, and the game will be more competitive, no more Real Madrid businesses, just plain competitive football, and this in the end will benefit the national teams. Isn't that why they are called domestic leagues ;)
