I don't see many posters in the scandinavian forum, but this game is worth mentioning.

This is going to be a tough game for both teams, and a good test for how good both teams really are.
The english team has more stars. The players called are:

Martyn, Wright, Walker - Keown, Ferdinand, Mills, Powell, Carragher, G Neville, P Neville, Southgate, Ehiogu - Beckham, Scholes, Butt, Murphy, Gerrard, Sinclair, Lampard, Anderton - Heskey, Owen, Fowler, Phillips, Sheringham, Smith.

Gerrard won't play (most probably) because of a small injury, but Owen will even though he had some minor injury problems.

The swedes will have more of their stars unavailable, like H.Larsson and Ljungberg.

Even though the english team has more quality (some defenders are ansent though), the english team hasn't beaten Sweden since 1968 (3-1 at Wembley). 5 draws and 3 wins for Sweden.

In a poll (10000 readers of Aftonbladet voted) only 80% of the Swedes wanted the Swedish team to win, but 20% wanted the English to win! Before Svennis took over, I guarantee that at least 99% would have wanted a swedish victory. Svennis is very popular in Sweden...

I wouldn't say that it is an important match, but it sure does raise a lot of questions as to how good England really is, and from a scandinavian perspective, if Sweden can do good in the World Cup.

Sweden especially, is severely reduced, and will suffer from not having Henrik Larsson and Fredrik Ljungberg in this match,

My prediction; England - Sweden 3-1:rolling:

The game ended in a draw:

1-1 (1-1)

Beckham (penalty) 28
Mild 44

I'll write about the match mañana

I don't have the power to write it alll down, but it was an interesting game with few chances though, but the penalty goal that Beckham scored shouldn't have been a penalty. There was no contact between the players, Sinclair slipped and the penalty was awarded.

Anyway, the result was better for Sweden, becaus England had more chances.
