Toni's interview?

Fellow Benfiquistas...I hope you all heard Toni's interview yesterday on Jogo falado. Is he the king of avoiding the topic or what??

He was asked about Argel and he mentions Jardel a couple of times....he's asked about Mantorras and he mentions Jardel. I think the man is obsessed. ;)

Anyhow, over all I think he handled himself well. What did you all think?

I missed it. Pilinha insisted on watching "Elmo's top ten favorite songs" for the third time that day.

Anything else interesting... did he address the topic of his scared tactics?

Yeah...he said he played with two strikers last season in VH and Tomas and it got him a sixth place finish!

Funny how he forgot that Mourinho used them both and he was in second place and destroyed Sporting in the process before Toni took over.

But he's getting results...and we're in second place...so as long as he does that, we can't question him.

I think I said he handled himself well...with the exception of Jardel...as Alc said the man must have had some sort of obsession I'm not familiar with.

As far as the two striker thing...I disagree with him. Mourinho used both Tomas and VH effectively...what spoiled the year was Roger and Toni's catering.

RedE, I was refering to this.
The only time I remember Mourinho playing with two strikers, was against Maritimo (where we got our ass kicked). But that's beside the point, Mourinho didn't have us in second place (not even after the Sporting game)...In fact we weren't even in 4th place when he left.

Toni was the one who had us in 2nd place right before the Boavista game. Does this make more sense now? :)
(and I am not defending Toni btw)

DAMN :mad: :mad: I missed the Interview but my dad watched he said Toni did pretty well in changing the subject alot.

Guys i think that until we lose a game we shouldn't be comlpaining as much much as we are now! Even though we have drawn so many games we still are in 2nd place! Although we have had some stuff ups in drawing wif some crappy teams!!


But after 3 weeks we shal be coming 1st place after we beat SPorting at the Luz and go kick Boavista's candy A*S at their home!
