Defender Trond Andersen is on course to return to training for Wimbledon in around a fortnight following his troublesome knee injury.
Andersen is one of the many Wimbledon players to have been struck by the club's injury curse this season.
The versatile Scandinavian is expected to be back in contention for a first-team place some time next month, having spent far longer on the sidelines than was initially expected.
Andersen has been sorely missed, particularly at the height of The Dons' injury crisis when his ability to play in the middle as well as at full-back would have been useful.
With other key players also due to return to action in the near future, Andersen looks likely to face a real fight for a place in Terry Burton's side when he is finally available for selection.
