Hull City are handing a trial to Norwegian midfielder Tom Kare Staurvik, who will arrive at Boothferry Park on Monday.
The 31-year-old central midfielder from FC Bodo Glimt is set to stay with the English Third Division club for a week and will play in the reserves on Wednesday.
Staurvik has also had spells with Rosenborg and Dutch side NAC Breda and The Tigers will hope for better luck with him than they enjoyed recently with Danish pair Mikkel Bo Jensen and Stefan Schmidt.
They returned home after two days of a week-long trial, claiming that the standard was not good enough for them.
