PSV won their first league match (1-0) in along time again which should give a little confidence, they played against Roda a team that usually gets in the top 5 of the league and now is last. Feyenoord won :D against Groningen (1-0) this weekend at home but lost their top-scorer Jon Dahl Tomasson :( , Ajax continued its good form by beating RKC Waalwijk a team that hadn't lost at home in 23 games the result was 0-2. A good result for NEC in the derby against Vitesse, they're fourth straight win in 4 years at home. Utrecht continued its recovery by beating Willem II 3-1, 2 good goals by Igor Gluscevic, the ex-Vojvodina player. Who's total this year is now 5.

18 Roda JC 9 1 1 7 7 17 -10 4
PSV are virtually out of the title-race, Ajax have a good lead but Feyenoord are still a threat, teams like Twente and Roda are very dissapointing this year after a good season last year.

I don't understand what's wrong with PSV ... they were almost unbeatable last year, and this year they barely manage to win games against the worst squad in the leauge. They have only lost one player since last year, in Nistelrooy, who played no role in their title winning season anyway because of injury.

Yes I like Feyenoord, they're a great club, I live near the stadion, Brett has been one of the sensations of last year, I like him very much, he's very strong and he has a good technique, is pretty fast and always very active. the problem is, untill now we played him on the right-back position, he's originally not a defender so he's had to learn a thing or 2, but now he's been playing as right-midfielder a couple of times, seems to do better there.
PSV are having enormous problems at the moment, Gerets, the coach, seems to have chosen Kezman and Bruggink as his offensive duo, he tried some things with Vennegoor and was very unsuccessful, Vennegoor's the new signing from FC Twente, the problem with PSV is Mark van Bommel, their playmaker who got injured, without him the team isn't half it was last year, last year they relied on players Van Bommel, Rommedahl, Hofland and Kezman, now none of them seem to have the great form they had last year.
About the attackers, Kezman has to play in a central position in order to succeed, Gerets tried to play Kezman on the left-wing with Vennegoor as central striker, this failed miserably, then he tried Bruggink-Vennegoor, also not the best option IMO, the best option is Kezman as central striker and Bruggink playing around him, last year they proved to be a good striking force.
I hope for their sake they improve soon, but I don't think a title is realistic anymore.

i saw him in the bayern munich game and the crowd cheered whenever he touched the ball. and the moves he did on lizarazu - fantastic !
he can pretty much play anywhere on the right. for his size he is very fast and mobile, and strong ... very versatile player.
he'll be a key player for when my country (AUST) plays in the WC play-off.
good to see him doing well for your team, and even better to see him as a crowd favourite

Fantasista, have you seen last nights game :D ?, Brett played really good although we lost, he especially made one really great move, all I have to say it was Redondo caliber :D , he's a real crowd favorite here, from the day he got here, whereas Laybutt hasn't played at all for Feyenoord.
I hope you guys make it to the World Cup and that he does well for you there ;) .

i just saw some hilites of feyenoord - prague.
was that move you are talking about when he passed to van hoojidonk and he hit the crossbar ? that was top class.
there's been talk of him making a $20M move to some EPL club (most probably liverpool). he is said to have always wanted to play in england but feyenoord don't want to give him up just yet. i think a move to italy or england is inevitable, but at the moment i think it's too early and he should gain more experience with feyenoord first.

Yep that's the one, when van Hooijdonk hit the crossbar, there were some rumors here a couple of weeks ago about him leaving for Newcastle United, but he hasn't left yet,
I saw an interview with before the game, he stated he was very happy, especially now he's started playing in a midfield position.:D

PSV are not out of the running for champions.
Every club has a bad period during a season.
Vitesse won't last. Ajax is a mystery with the new playing-system.
We'll see what happens.
