Another win tonight for the Perth Glory at Perth Oval :) :cool:

Damian Mori opened the scoring on 77 minutes with a beautiful header high into the net and 5 minutes later Soctt Miller made it 2-0 with a stunning left foot drive from 18 yards :cool: :D

Roll on wollongong next week :D

Perth took nearly 80 minutes to gain the initiative against Marconi at Perth Oval, but once the Glory hit the lead they quickly doubled it on the way to a 2-0 win over the Stallions.

After it looked like Marconi were going to repeat their 0-0 draw against titleholders Wollongong last weekend, Damian Mori broke the deadlock for the home side, clinically heading home a Brad Maloney corner in the 78th minute.

Three minutes later Perth’s lead was two goals when Scott Miller smashed in a shot from the edge of the box, to ensure the Glory all three points and send the WA team to the top of the table.

In the first half Perth made all the play, Mori and fellow striker Bobby Despotovski having four great chances that were either saved or sent wide of the mark and a Mori header beating Stallions keeper Michael Turnbull, only to see the ball hit the crossbar.

While Marconi coach Lee Sterrey had promised his team would push the ball around in an attempt to score, the Stallions were unable to build any substantial chances, falling down across midfield, rendering lone striker Norman Tome useless.

Marconi’s only real opportunity of the game came after just seven minutes when Tome shook off Craig Deans, ran on and sent his driving effort towards the goal, only to see Jason Petkovic equal to the task.

up untill Mori's goal i feared another 0-0 ... was just so glad that SOMEBODY scored.
