Leeds United are looking to sign German star Sebastian Deisler, his agent has confirmed.
David O'Leary reportedly watched the Hertha Berlin midfielder in the recent match with Cologne and is said to be keen to add the player to his title-chasing Leeds squad.
Deisler has 20 months left on his contract, but a £6million escape clause has alerted clubs to his possible availability.
His representative, Jorg Neubauer, said: " "O'Leary has been talking to me about the player but neither Leeds nor any other club have made a bid.
"But it is correct to say there are a lot of teams interested in the player, a lot of clubs around Europe.
"The player himself has not expressed where he would like to go and he has not yet held talks with any club."
Reports on Wednesday claimed that Bayern Munich had already tied up a deal for the 21-year-old, but Neubauer called that story "false" and both clubs also denied any transfer had been agreed.
