Ronaldinho has spoken with enthusiasm about David Beckham's impending arrival in Milan and has even offered to share free-kick duties with the England star.

The Italian giants have confirmed a deal has been struck with MLS outfit LA Galaxy to take the midfielder on loan in January.

Beckham has been encouraged to make the switch to Serie A by England coach and former Milan incumbent Fabio Capello; keen as he is to see the 33-year-old keep up his fitness levels in the American close-season.

In joining Milan he will share the bill with a number of football's biggest names and one such star, Ronaldinho, is already looking forward to striking up a partnership.

"He's a great champion. I hope he's happy with us. We'll take turns taking free-kicks," Ronaldinho told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I've met him in the past and I have always been struck by his class."

Champion

While Beckham is not to join Milan officially until 7th January it is being reported in Italian media that he will be presented to the club's fans before the Udinese game on 21st December, before taking part in a Dubai training camp during Serie A's Christmas break.

There has been no official line on the exact length of the loan period but Milan president Adriano Galliani has again ruled out making the move a permanent arrangement.

"No one has spoken of a permanent transfer. The hypothesis is not possible because he has a contract with Galaxy, who don't want to let him go," he said.

"I hope it's a painful goodbye (at the end of the loan) because that would mean he's done well."

Milan are accumulating mid players by the second, now they also want young star fabregas.

I dont think becks will impress much, boriello will certinly be happy to have him tho.

I don't know if Fabregas will go to Barcelona. He came from Barca originally cause he wasn't wanted there, but Wenger saw a gem in him. He could still feel a little betrayed by Barca. Milan would be a great place for him, but I still think he will spend a couple of more seasons at Arsenal.

Barça is the only team I see Cesc going to. In fact I have no doubt he will leave Arsenal for Barça one day, because he's a Catalan in his blood and you can tell he still loves his former club very much. Even though I like Milan I really don't think it's the right place for Cesc. I can only imagine him playing for Arsenal or Barça to be honest.

Milan the new Galacticos.
Only problem is that these galacticos all can be grandparents by now.

Its tilla strong and very very competitive squad who could aim for anything, but a team like milan has to realise that their cyccle cam to an end last season, and you dont start cycles with the last 1/3 of their carrers left ina ll players signed.

Becks' style of play is timeless - his positioning, touch, and crossing have not faded at all. I'm sure when he gets to Milan and is surrounded by world class players, no offense to Alan Gordon and Peter Vaginas, he will come into his own and contribute. I can see him feeding long ball lazers to Pato on the break 90 minutes.
